Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great.

I started season 173 with just a few energy, because I was able to consume it all grinding until the very end to earn glint as much as possible. Now I am stuck just waiting for energy to replenish and then battle again. I am so addicted that I can't get enough of Splinterlands battle😄. Good thing that theres another format that I can play while killing time, tournament and brawl. Oh theres another one the Frontier, but nah maybe I'm gonna pass. I will just let the new players have the rewards for that. What can I do I'm generous! Lol

Anyway so much with the fun lets get into our weekly Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. Theres a new update regarding the Winterfest Season, which will end until Dec 31. So hurry up guys and secure your giftboxes(I'm accepting giftboxes by the way😄) and get those skin that you can boast about in the battlefield. So for this challenge I would like to talk about the new modifier, FROSTBITE, so this ruleset comes along with the winterfest season, its just an occasional ruleset just like BLOODMOON and DRAGON BREATH. For me I find this a great insertion to the regular ruleset that we play everyday, it changes the game from the usual, players need to adjust, but I know we will quickly adapt even this are just temporary.

❄️Modifier: Frostbite

All Units have Weary. Each round a unit does not attack, it takes 2 true damage at the end of that round.

Look at the design of that ruleset, its so freakin badass, how can you not love this game, right?! And it really is a badass modifier because that WEARY is something a player doesn't have a control of. Its going to hurt more because of the two damage it will inflict by the end of the round. There is one only ability I know how to handle this, the INVIGORATE.

WEARY: At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate

INVIGORATE: Allied units cannot be Exhausted

INVIGORATE is currently available to only two units, which are both from Conclave Arcana Rewards Card. But I haven't use it yet since I don't have those cards. So I really can't tell if its going to take into full effect eliminating the WEARY debilitation. But its something that worth to try if you have this cards.

This morning I had the privilege to experience this new modifier FROSTBITE. And guess what? The ruleset actually helps me win this battle. It was a good game, my opponent had a very good line up as well, but the FROSTBITE somehow favored my side, and he also used a unit that has BURNING debilitation that hurt him and I was able to come up with a victory. We both didn't deal with FROSTBITE, we have the same idea of coming out with just strong line up compose of units with lots of health and damage. Sometimes when I really can,t come up a solution to the ruleset, I just let it be, I just pick my best cards and wait for the result. Anyway I will loose nothing if I didn't win, just 1 energy and I will not get a reward of course. You can watch the full replay of my battle on the link below⬇️.

WINTER IS COMING

By the way if you pay attention in battle, aside from the cracking sound of ice at the start of the battle, theres an eerie sound of howling and whistling wind and sceeching bird. Its so Game of Thrones! Just love it how Splinterlands did it.
