Splinterlands Art Contest Week 282: Obsidian

For months now I have coveted the Obsidian card and wished to make something out of it. I however haven't been able to because I couldn't find a perfect reference as well as the right angle.

The very moment I laid eyes on the reference I used in making this digital piece I very well knew that this would go perfectly well with the card character.

The rock itself (Obsidian) has so much beauty that I have considered getting one for myself as an artist and making something good out of it.

Through the drawing and painting process, I did the best I could to retain most of the original defining characteristics.
