Tough season but awesome reward in my daily

Hope everyones doing great and making it to where they want this season. With the introduction of chaos legion things sure have changed. More players have higher level cards, some teams have multiple heals and so on, just stomping me down. In the last two seasons I had no problem reaching gold even though I don't have any alpha or beta cards, this season with my chaos legion cards I thought were good I'm struggling to get out of Silver I. I'm talking about 5-7 game losing streaks when I thought I had assembled great teams or just so many stupid equilizer games with low mana cost that just kill me.

To top it off the dec rewards which were really nice the last few days aren't so now so with my giant losing streak trying to finish my daily I was feeling down. Typically my quest rewards are alright so I wan't expecting anything special but wow!

WOW! 1450 DEC, this has to be the most DEC I have seen in a chest. This 100% made up for all of the loses plus some. Also not bad that the rest of my chests were cards this time and not more potions. While I'm not yet in Gold I hope that I can make it in the next few days.

So now the real question is how do I get better/advance father? I feel like I have built up a decent collection of cards but am hoping that some of you out there can offer me some advice. Wether it be on strategies I should focus on, cards I should rent, or mistakes I made in my lineups I'm all ears.
