Splinterlands Journal, April 2nd - "Swimming with the fish"

Non-negative is positive

Today, I got the Water Splinter daily quest. It's not Earth, but it's still a relief, since it's one of the only two splinters which I actually own cards for. Following my past journal's conclusions, I decided to rent a few cards before I began playing. As long as I went even at the very least, it was fine. I'm here only to farm chests anyway. However, I didn't rent a different summoner, as Bortus fit the bill nicely.

The only kind of exciting battle I can use to show off my my monster usage is this very uneven combat field. But it still shows how I had a very easy time completing my daily quest, which is what my goal is all about. Unfortunately, I got really crappy chests today, which contained nothing but a whooping 9 DEC in total. That's all right, as I got 2 epic cards recently anyway. I've had to win 10 battles just to make up for the rental costs, but since my teams are so strong, it was a breezy to get win streaks. Splinterlands is still a game, which I'm finally having fun playing again, so this is fine.

I must say Death Splinter is as infuriating as ever when it comes to 12 mana battles. No matter what team I use, Death Splinter always beats the crap out of me. It's so annoying. Only when I finally got a really good combination using rentals and the Obsidian summoner did I finally manage to win. I swear, low level Cursed Windeku is absolutely broken. I don't quite understand why Death Splinter isn't a popular splinter.

In other news, my guild now almost has a level 2 barracks (the current brawl needs to end before I upgrade it). It may be free to join, but you're banned if you suck at any of our brawls. Since I contributed like 99% of all DEC by myself despite the guild actually having plenty of barracks, I just let players join for free, but they must win at brawls, while I idle at a random gold foil fray.

If you're good at brawling but you're not in a guild yet, make you join Super Smash Brawls whenever we have an open spot. That's it for today. I hope you're all having a wonderful time in Splinterlands like me. :)
