Day one of a new season!

First thing I did today was log into my account to check out my Splinterlands season rewards. A lot of cards, but nothing particularly special. I like Pelacor Conjurer, but I'm selling it like everything else in favor of my current earth/water strategy with very specific cards. It could be a lot worse, of course, in the case I only got potions.

My daily quest turned out to be Sniper. Oh, the sniper ability is so bad nowadays. Opportunity is king, so trying to complete a sniper quest puts me in immediate disadvantage. So I quickly request a new quest, hoping it's anything but Sneak. Guess what? It's Sneak... Damnit. It's still a lot better than Snipe, though.

Except not really, because I suddenly realize Uraeus has Sneak. All I have to do is spam it every battle! In bronze, it has 2 power for 3 mana, so it easily takes out the enemy backliners. I want to complete this quest as soon as possible, so I can focus on using the strongest possible teams to progress into silver as soon as possible.

My Flesh Golem rental ran out, but I'm still easily winning using Earth Splinter thanks to Mylor Crowling and my newfound favorite: Hill Giant. 3 mana for 7 HP is a lot while using Mylor Crowlling. It might not hit like a truck, but he'll surely tank a lot of magic damage and backlash physical attacks thanks to Mylor's given thorns.

However, I lack physical damage. I just can't kill high-hp tanks like Unicorn Mustang when they're getting healed. Truth is, I haven't gotten my head around the new meta yet. I'm not using top-tier cards, so my win rate is actually below 50% today. Of course, it's the first day of a new season, so it's supposed to be harder.

I guess I'm just still really rusty, while those bots hold all the winning strategies in their pockets.
