Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hello everyone. Today I am going to share my battle.

Battle details: I played with water splinter and my opponent used a water splinter against me. Fire Earth, Life and Death teams were banned from this battle.

Battle Ruleset

It was a battle with 25 mana cap and one rule:

Nuxious Fumes: All monsters start the battle poisoned.

Discussing My Lineup

Summoner, KELYA FRENDUL level 5. This summoner gives my team +1 speed and armor.

First Position, SEA MONSTER level 6. This monster has Heal and Thorns abilities. I used monster with healing as my tank because I hoped that it will survive poison.

Second Position, VENARI MARKSRAT level 5, The death of this monster makes nearby monsters stronger.

Third Position, HYDRA level 3. Awesome monster with Heal, Thorns and Retaliate. My reasoning for using this monster was the same as with SEA MONSTER.

Fourth Position, KELP INITIATE level 3. This monster can remove Poison from my tank.

Fifth Position, CREEPING OOZE level 4. This monster can slow the enemy team.

Sixth Position, FURIOUS CHICKEN level 1. I used this monster as protection from Sneak attacks.

My Strategy & Tips

I hoped to survive long enough for poison to kill enemy monsters. To achieve this goal I used two nonsters with Heal ability. I also used KELP INITIATE to remove poison from my tanks. Another strategy I used was a sacrifice rat strategy- I used VENARI MARKSRAT because I knew that it will die soon and make my SEA MONSTER and HYDRA even stronger. Remaining two monsters CREEPING OOZE and FURIOUS CHICKEN had to slow enemy team and protect me from Sneak attacks.

Analysis of The Battle

My SEA MONSTER died very soon. My opponent also used sacrifice rat strategy and made his Kraken stronger. Both teams also removed poison from their tanks. Battle ended with a clash between two legendary monsters and my HYDRA was stronger than enemy Kraken.
