Splinterlands & WMG Partnership Is Big News For Hive
Hive is about to explode! This ticking bomb is into its final seconds, could happen any second. You may ask, why? The reason is Splinterlands! By the time you read this post, this news will be everywhere unless you have been living under a rock. It's on the top of the trending section. Warner Music Group has announced a partnership with Splinterlands to enter the Metaverse. 😉 Here's the link to their official press release:

Warner Music Group Enters The Metaverse
U.S based record label Warner Music Group, in association with Splinterlands will make play to earn, arcade style music games on the blockchain. Metaverse opens more income streams for the musicians associated with WMG powered by NFTs. They have already done a partnership with Sandbox a few weeks ago for hosting virtual concerts and now they are tapping the gaming market.
This could be a huge opportunity for artists to gain traction in the WEB 3.0 world and gamers to enjoy the rewards for spending their valuable time. Many famous musicians and artists already tried making money from NFTs because traditionally they are not getting everything they deserve. Middleman takes the major cut. Both the fans and the artists suffer. This could be a game-changer for them. In the upcoming years, more record labels would hop on otherwise they will see artists going away to Web 3 platforms for all kinds of freedom they offer.
What's In It For Hive Community?
Splinterlands is one of the best projects that came out of Hive. Even though this new partnership with WMG might not use Hive at all, it's still great news for the community. Because it will attract more people to Splinterlands. Big media outlets are talking about the game and of course, some of them are mentioning Hive. Also, to play the game, everyone needs a Hive account. Collaboration with such a huge record label is no joke! This is the mainstream adoption we all were waiting for. This is the time to fill up your Hive bags and obviously SPS. 🍟

Year Of Collaborations
Splinterlands has already bagged two big collaborations this year. Waka Spiritblade Hybrid NFT in association with American rapper and artist Waka Flocka Flame will be launched in a few hours from now: https://splinterlands.com/?p=shop. I am excited to see what they come up with Warner Music Group. Looks like @aggroed and @yabapmatt, both are big-time music & gaming fans. 😂 Hope to see you bag more of such collaboration this year.

The people doing V2K want me to believe it is this lady @battleaxe Investigate what she has been up to for 5 years. Its the next step to stopping this. Make her prove where she has been for 5 years or where she is now. She is involved deeply with @fyrstikken and his group. I cant say she is the one directly doing the v2k. Make her prove it. As long as their main game runs on Hive, I still think Hive is the best place for all us already here. It means everything we need to do can still be done on Hive even if they move some of the processing outside of Hive.

That's right. The future is multi-chain. It's better to have more bridges. I am sure Splinterlands will find ways to bridge those games to hive as well.

If they want their games to run problem free, it will have to be done on the Hive blockchain, with users requiring an account with HP.
ALL rival chains that have had a successful gaming dApp run on top of it have faced issues.
Not Hive though.
Also, assets being able to move across chains is a good thing.

Yes. Using hive as a base for transactions is a great thing just like Splinterlands game has. And the make bridges to other platforms like BSC, ETH, WAX, etc.
