SPS Airdrop Ending Soon

I logged into my SPS Airdrop page today and got very sad to see the no. of days left until the airdrop finishes. Only FIVE. :( Although it was a year-long Airdrop, I joined in a bit late to the party so I had lesser time on my hands to capitalize. With 5 days left, I am trying to hit the 7k mark to celebrate. Which would also be my this year's SPS staking goal. It seems like that I can easily push towards 10k unless the price of SPS takes a huge jump in the next few months. For now, the odds are definitely in my favor

It is one of my favorite long-term investments on Hive. I own a piece of PLOT, a deck of cards worth a few thousand dollars & a position in DEC-BUSD LP on Cub Finance. Recently got a lot of those Chaos Legion booster packs and opened all of them to increase my Deck Power which gave me some extra points. I am also getting daily rent payments in DEC as I rent all my cards. I don't play but I am deep in the game as an investor. The biggest reason is that the team led by @aggroed and @yabapmatt is actually kicking ass. They are the reason why Splinterlands is the #1 blockchain game in the world.

SPS Validator Node License?

I totally missed the SPS Validator node license train although they are still available on the market. The node license presale was a huge hit - 18 million SPS was burned & 2000 Licenses were sold in 11 minutes. Running a node will give you the opportunity to take part in the governance system. That is a huge value prop for the current players and investors as they will decide the direction of the game. SPS community will have the ultimate power in their own hands. 3.75 million SPS tokens per month are allocated to a reward pool for SPS Validator Node operators. License holders will receive an equal share of the 3,375,000 SPS / month rewards per license they hold in their account as long as they are running an active validator node. Apart from SPS, you will also get VOUCHERs which is another in-game token of Splinterlands. It is used for special discounts mostly and only time will tell what's the next use case going to be. Voucher tokens go high up in price whenever the Splinterlands team makes an announcement of their next usage. So it's great to hold them and use them later either to get game assets for cheap or to sell them at a higher price.

Please note that with each node sale, more & more SPS will be burned and that will take a good chunk out of circulation forever. That's why I am buying it at every possible opportunity. Right now the staking APR is around 37% which seems to be great. And apart from SPS, you also get Vouchers for staking it.

Future of SPS

There is so much stuff in the pipeline as per the Splinterlands Roadmap 2022. Each development will make a stronger case for SPS. I believe that it can easily reach $1 in the long term which would be crazy. My long-term goal would be to acquire at least 20k SPS before I start to pay myself, provided the price is above $1. I am very excited about the future of SPS and truly believe that we are still early. Pretty sure that early investors and daily players are going to retire on it. This bear market doesn't have any effect on the pace of development as expected by the team.
