Hello Splinterlandians,

in this weeks battle challenge, organized by the Splinterlands team, I have a battle from my recent guild brawl (silver league fray) for you. Because of the ruleset I had some really decent melee hitters in my back line, and that's why I want to share it with you.

Let's jump into the battle and thanks in advance for reading and every type of support!

Ruleset:

Playable in my brawl battle were the fire, earth and life splinter and with 44 mana it is a mid to high mana cap in my opinion. Three rulesets were active. Unprotected, Spreading Fury and Equal Opportunity. Having especially the last two rulesets in my mind, I thought about playing the fire splinter, because I have some good melee hitters in my deck, which are good to use here, because they could attack from the back line and profit in attack and speed when they get enraged.

Lineup:

I decided to play this tactic and while creating my lineup, I haven't thought much about what my opponent could play and how to counter him, because I was really confident with my strategy. My only counter was playing Tusk the Wide as first tank, because my opponent could play a magic strategy with the earth splinter. My biggest hope was in Fineas Rage, Gorth and Coeurl Lurker, because they all have decent attack and/or speed and when they get enraged they'll become huge monsters.

My opponent played with Yodin Zaku from the fire splinter. The greatest danger in his lineup comes from Drybone Raider, because she can attack four times in one round with this ruleset and this could be a problem with giving her the blast ability by Yodin Zaku. Another great card in his lineup is Fina Voxom, which is one of the greatest from the gladius set in my opinion.

Battle Highlight:

After the first round I have the highlight of the battle for you. My Coeurl Lurker got enraged and dodged most of the attacks from my opponent with the combination of dodge and his increased speed. Gorth got enraged, too, and his bloodlust triggered one time making him a big melee hitter with 11 melee attack. Last card I want to mention is my Fineas Rage, who got enraged and had a nice combination of high attack and high speed.

At this point three monsters of my opponent got killed and the battle looks good for me.

Result:

I won the battle already in the second round, because my monsters one hitted the enemy monsters with their high melee attack. Good game to @himhim. This battle shows us, that when you have a great idea for your strategy and lineup, you don't always have to think about how to counter your opponent. When you have a great plan, just do it and in that case it worked.

Thanks for reading and have some nice days!
