Splinterlands - My strategy within the first days of Rebellion release [ENG/DE]

Hello Splinterlandians,

recently Splinterlands released its latest expansion: Rebellion! This brings many new cards into the game. Five new abilities have been introduced, and now Summoners can be used for two different elements. Additionally, there is a new "Prepare" phase during battles. As you can see, there are quite a few changes. You can read more about the release of Rebellion in the official Splinterlands blog.

Today, I would like to briefly share my impressions and assessments of the latest expansion. I will also discuss how I plan to make the most of the first few days after the release. Please keep in mind that I am a very small player, usually playing in the Silver League at most and not owning thousands of packs.

In the presale, I only managed to secure ten Rebellion Packs. This presale was a great success, as almost every one of the 500,000 packs offered was sold. With these ten packs, I had the chance to receive cards during the release airdrop, and there was a little surprise for me:

I was guaranteed to get a "Grimbardun Smith", but the chance of getting the legendary card "Mantaroth" was only 10%. Of course, I was very happy about that. Since the new cards usually drop in price at the beginning, I decided to sell "Mantaroth" on the market for about 33$ for the time being. It looks like a strong card, but the selling price was too high for me. I might buy the card in the future, maybe it will have dropped in price.

I won't be opening my ten packs myself for the time being. For one thing, I wouldn't get enough cards from them to level them up to my League Cap and for another, I want to earn airdrop points from the packs. This time it works differently to Chaos Legion. Roughly speaking, you will have to hold and stake the packs or cards from Rebellion to earn airdrop points. I think I can collect some points here, especially at the beginning. Later on, there will be more packs and cards in circulation, so I would get fewer points. I don't expect to get an airdrop with so few packs, but you never know...

At a later date, when the prices have fallen, I will probably buy one of the new dual summoners. These are very good value in my eyes, as you can play two different elements with them, although I only have to buy one Summoner. They don't have any other bonuses, but I think I'll accept that. In the past I've had the problem of leveling up the summoners so that my cards can be played at a higher level.

That's about it for now. I'm glad that there's a new expansion and that the game will be loosened up again for the time being. Incidentally, I think the design of the cards is very successful. Not just the designs of the monsters themselves, but also the card frames. What do you think of the latest release and what will your tactics be?

kürzlich hat Splinterlands die neueste Erweiterung veröffentlicht: Rebellion! Damit kommen viele neue Karten ins Spiel. Es wurden fünf neue Abilities in das Spiel eingeführt, außerdem gibt es jetzt Summoner, die für zwei verschiedene Elemente genutzt werden können und es gibt eine neue "Prepare" Phase während eines Battles. Heute möchte ich kurz über meine Eindrücke und Einschätzungen zur neuesten Erweiterung schreiben. Außerdem soll es darum gehen, wie ich mich in den ersten Tagen nach dem Release verhalte, um für mich das Beste herauszuholen. Denkt dabei immer daran, ich bin ein sehr kleiner Fisch, spiele meistens höchstens in der Silver League und besitze nicht tausende an Packs.

Ich selbst habe mir im Presale lediglich zehn Rebellion Packs gesichert. Dieser war übrigens ein voller Erfolg, fast jedes der 500.000 angebotenen Packs konnte verkauft werden. Durch die zehn Packs hatte ich die Chance beim Release-Airdrop Karten zu erhalten und hier gab es für mich eine kleine Überraschung:

Es war garantiert, dass ich einen "Grimbardun Smith" erhalte, allerdings war die Chance die legendäre Karte "Mantaroth" zu erhalten bei lediglich 10%. Darüber habe ich mich natürlich sehr gefreut. Da die neuen Karten anfangs meistens erstmal im Preis fallen, habe ich mich entscheiden "Mantaroth" vorerst für ca. 33$ auf dem Markt zu verkaufen. Es sieht zwar nach einer starken Karte aus, allerdings war der Verkaufspreis für mich zu hoch. Eventuell werde ich in der Zukunft die Karte kaufen, vielleicht ist sie dann im Preis gefallen.

Meine zehn Packs werde ich vorerst nicht selber öffnen. Zum einen würde ich daraus zu wenige Karten erhalten, um sie auf mein League Cap zu leveln und zum anderen möchte ich durch die Packs Airdrop Punkte verdienen. Dieses Mal funktioniert es anders als noch bei Chaos Legion. Grob gesagt wird man die Packs bzw. die Karten aus Rebellion halten und staken müssen, um Airdrop-Punkte zu erhalten. Ich denke vor allem anfangs kann ich hier einige Punkte sammeln. Später werden mehr Packs und Karten im Umlauf sein, sodass ich weniger Punkte erhalten würde. Ich gehe zwar nicht davon aus, dass ich mit so wenigen Packs einen Airdrop erhalte, allerdings weiß man nie...

Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, wenn die Preise gefallen sind, werde ich mir vermutlich einen der neuen Dual-Summoner zulegen. Diese sind in meinen Augen sehr preiswert, da man zwei verschiedene Elemente mit ihnen spielen kann, obwohl ich mir nur einen Summoner kaufen muss. Sie haben zwar keinerlei sonstige Boni, allerdings werde ich das denke ich in Kauf nehmen. In der Vergangenheit hatte ich eher das Problem die Summoner zu leveln, sodass meine Karten auf einem höherem Level gespielt werden können.

Das soll es hier nun erstmal gewesen sein. Ich bin froh, dass es eine neue Erweiterung gibt und das Spiel erstmal wieder auflockern wird. Übrigens finde ich die Karten designtechnisch sehr gelungen. Nicht nur die Designs der Monster an sich, sondern auch die der Karten Rahmen. Was denkt ihr zum neuesten Release und wie wird euere Taktik sein?
