Splinterlands - "Venari Spellsmith" in the spotlight

Hello Splinterlandians,
today I want to continue my blog series "In The Spotlight", where I explain you all the important stuff about one single card. I will talk about lore and artwork, the stats, the combinations and tactics and I'll show you a battle with the card as an example.
For today I want to talk about Venari Spellsmith, who was introduced with the Chaos Legion cards. He is a rare card from the neutral splinter, which main characteristic is his Dispel ability. But let's jump into the details and don't waste time. Have fun while reading and thanks in advance for every sort of support.

Lore and Artwork:
They created the Institute of Application that acts as a center of study for spells and tinkering. Those who wish to become fluent in spellcasting train to become Spellsmiths: masters of creating and using spells. It is through this knowledge they research and experiment with magic in order to unlock new ways to harness mana and the elemental forces.
A Venari Spellsmith is so dedicated to the art of spellcasting that magic itself became a part of them. While they themselves can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through their veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from their bodies, harming everyone around the Venari.
Stats:
Combinations and Tactics:
- The choice of the summoner to play Venari Spellsmith isn't that important, even though Obsidian looks great, because he gets one more magic attack.
- Venari Spellsmith should definitly be played in your backline, because he has no real tank stats.
- Venari Spellsmith performs great against lineups with the Martyr and Bloodlust ability, because he clears the buffs from it with his Dispel ability.
- On a higher level, when he has the Amplify ability, pairing him with Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns cards could be nice.
- Good rulesets for Venari Spellsmith are Armored Up (because he has no armor), Equalizer (because of his low health points), Are you not Entertained (because your opponent can play Gladius cards with the Bloodlust ability) and Little League (because he is a solid four mana card).
Battle:
My battle with the Venari Spellsmith is from a Splinterlands tournament with the Bronze League level cap. There was the "Born Again" ruleset active, where many players choose to play Martyr cards. So I decided to play Venary Spellsmith to clear the buffs from the opponents monsters. The other two rulesets were "Aim True" and "Rise of the Commons" and every splinter, except the dragons, were allowed to play. I decided to play with Obsidian to boost my Venari Spellsmith a little bit. And I chose to play a Martyr monster on the first spot for myself, to buff my tank, the Mycelic Slipspawn.
Like anticipated my opponent played a Martyr monser. On top of that he chose to play Captain Katie, with the Bloodlust ability. That was great for me, because the Venari Spellsmith will gain an awesome amount of value in this battle with his Dispel ability.
He cleared two buffs from the Martyr ability from Captain Katie, so she wasn't even able to kill a monster and get a buff from her Bloodlust ability. Even if she had killed one of my monsters, my Venari Spellsmith would had cleared her buffs. Because of this I won the battle, GG to my opponent @grendor.
Final Words:
The Venari Spellsmith doesn't seem like a good card on the first look. But not that many other cards have the Dispel ability and the fact that he has it, makes him to a great card in special situation where you have to clear your opponents buffs.
The artwork of the card is really nice, especially the colourful magical stuff. I like the lore of the Venaris, because they are a little bit underrated in the Splinterlands, but they have some good skills. The fact, that the radiating mana explodes from the Venari Spellsmiths bodies if they die and harms everyone around, is shown nicely with the Redemption ability.
What do you think about the Venari Spellsmith? Thanks for reading and have some nice days!

At the beginning of the CL edition I treated this card with contempt and it seemed to me that it had no purpose in the game, then when the summoners that could incorporate gladius cards on the battlefield were incorporated, I began to understand the function of the Venari spellsmith , this letter helped me design the perfect strategy to deal with that demon called Quora. Even now it is at a bargain price! $0.08 this is the best time to have it maxed out. Gz for this post bro.
Thanks for your answer. I'm with you, especially to counter Quora (or other Bloodlust cards) the card is very nice.
