Yesterday's Zensports tournament included a tribute to Gigas

Yesterday was the 'Spooky spirit Cup' Zensports tournament, in which I was fortunate to participate. And I want to start this article of by thanking Zensports for putting this continues effort in Splinterlands. Despite the few hickups yesterday, you guys keep giving to the community and bring a professional breeze in the Splinterlands Tournament scene. Thanks for that!

Despite getting knocked out as fast as the tournament started, 1 - 2 loss against @athunderstruck, it was a fun first time experience on "the big scene". Now first of all I want to congratulate @athunderstruck, I don't think I did that properly yet, wp! Nothing out of the ordinary about this game you might think. There is, however, a tribute to @gigas (Zachary), the splinterlands streamer and player that left us way too early. You see, the Octopider that I used that game was lend to me by @splinternews and was originally owned by @gigas. While I sadly didn't know Gigas, from what I heard and read in the last 24 hours, he was nothing if not an amazing person. His love for this game and the community was unmatched. Something that is confirmed by @clove71's memorial tournament (https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@clove71/zachary-gigas-memorial-tournament-rest-in-peace-we-all-love-you) for example.

While Gigas' passing saddens me deeply, I'm happy that with the help of @splinternews I was able to give a little tribute to him. It's 'easy' to be sadden after a sudden loss, as with Gigas, but forget all about it after a few months. However, these little tokens, gestures or easter eggs (however you want to call them) helps us truly immortalize Gigas memory
