How to buy cheap Splinterlands cards - SplintX Price History charts

How to use SplintX Price History charts to buy cheap Splinterlands cards from the market.

I’m sure by now, you’ve noticed just how inefficient the Splinterlands card markets are.

If you’re trying to sell your cards, then this can be somewhat frustrating as you may find your efficiently priced cards, constantly being undercut by outlier prices.

But if you’re a Splinterlands card buyer, then this can be great.

There are bargains to be had in the Splinterlands card markets every day and I’m here to help you take advantage of them.

Open up the SplintX website and let’s take a look at how we can use the interface to buy cheap Splinterlands cards.

The SplintX Marketplace and Hub

If you haven’t yet checked out the SplintX Marketplace and Hub, then do yourself a favour and bookmark it right now.

Built by a team of kids calling themselves The Splinterns, SplintX now runs a Splinterlands marketplace to rival PeakMosters.

Check out the clean SplintX interface on the screenshot below.

The clean SplintX interface.

The marketplace interface is self explanitory, with the top menu giving you the ability to flick through your own card collection or the market as a whole.

Filters and a handy search function down the left hand side, also makes navigating the Splinterlands card market a breeze.

But what about using SplintX to find and buy cheap Splinterlands cards?

SplintX Price History charts

This is where the price history chart feature for every Splinterlands card comes in handy.

Search or use the filters to find the card you’re looking to buy, click a result and navigate across to the Price History chart tab as shown on the screenshot below.

The SplintX Price History charts tab showing data for the Golden Chicken.

Price History charts show the daily low list price of each Splinterlands card.

Therefore, you’re able to use this data to view overpriced and best of all, cheap Splinterlands cards.

Using the example of the Golden Chicken in the screenshot above, you could therefore make a case that yesterday’s $299 USD listing price (which is no longer on the market), was an excellent cheap Splinterlands card buying opportunity.

The SplintX Cards for Sale tab showing that yesterday's $299 Golden Chicken is no longer on the market.

There’s no doubt that SplintX Price History charts can help you find and snap up low priced outliers before anyone else catches on.

Buying Splinterlands card NFTs vs Splinterlands DEC

When it comes to whether you should buy Splinterlands cards themselves or simply invest in Splinterlands DEC to pool and maximise your SPS airdrop, well that’s entirely up to you.

There’s no doubt that the Splinterlands card markets are extremely inefficient, making them a frustrating place to trade at times.

But at the same time, it’s this inefficiency in the markets that actually makes it possible for savvy card traders using SplintX Price History charts to buy cheap Splinterlands cards.

You just have to know where to look.

Best of probabilities to you.

I actually find most of my "cheap" cards from the rented ones. Cards that can't immediately be used seem to sell for a pretty sizable discount to cards immediately available.

I will definitely be checking this place out though. With all the myriad cards of there to buy, it's almost impossible to know whether you're getting a "good deal" or not. This place will definitely help.

Thanks for the post!

I've noticed this little market quirk too.

I'm not an active player, so don't really care if cards can be immediately used or not.

But it does show that there are a ton more active players than simple trader/investors active in the market.

The SplintX marketplace and hub is a really cool, underused interface for Splinterlands card traders/investors.

There is nowhere else that shows historical price charts for each card like this, right?

thanks for posting about this. I had never heard of SplintX before. It looks pretty easy to use. I'm not the best trader in the world so I really need to learn what I'm doing before I start trying to find the deals. I'm not even sure if cards are the way to go yet as I'm too new to game play. I suspect all of the investing strategies will become more clear as chaos is revealed.

Yeah, SplintX is a cool find that deserves more attention than its getting.

When it comes to a marketplace view, PeakMonsters is way too in-depth and (I'm pretty sure?) doesn't have price charts on each individual card.

Anyway, why not try finding some low, outlying priced cards to pick up and flip for a little higher?

An easy way to take advantage of these charts and start your Splinterlands NFT investment in the process.

I've never really looked at Splintx, assuming it didn't offer much different from the other markets. The historical chart looks very useful though. I'll have to take a look.

I'm more likely to pool DEC. In fact I was just wondering whether or not it might be a good idea to move out of the DEC/BUSD pool and into the DEC/SPS one.

Yeah, SplintX has been a good find.

Definitely worth checking out for the price history charts alone.

As for the DEC/SPS pool you're thinking of moving into, what platform is that on?

Tribaldex I think. 😊

Ah yep.

The DEC:SPS Tribaldex Diesel Pool has some LP rewards paid in BEE:

DEC:SPS Tribaldex Diesel Pool.

But those rewards still won't be anywhere near even the modest 8% you're getting in the DEC:BUSD LP on Cub Finance.

Something to keep in mind.

Ah. yes. I forgot the pay out was in BEE. But I'm looking at it more from the SPS airdrop perspective. i've lost a lot of DEC in the DEC/BUSD pool which means I've lost a lot of airdrop points in consequence.

So I was thinking being in the DEC/SPS pool would mean I'd end up with more SPS since both DEC and SPS lead to DEC.

But I have no idea whether that is true or not. I'm just assuming that's the case.

When you say that you've lost a lot of DEC, how?

Impermanent loss, or just selling half your DEC to fund the BUSD side of your LP?

Both actually but I was mainly referring to the impermanent loss. I swapped half the DEC for BUSD to get into the pool but that was before the SPS airdrop was announced.

Then, as a result of the massive rise in the price of DEC I "lost" thousands. Dollar wise I'm OK I think but, as I said, I'm wondering whether I might now be better off in the DEC-SPS pool with regard the airdrop.

I'll probably just stay where I am and hope for the best. The SPS was an unexpected bonus anyway. 😊

Awesome Dane. Thanks a lot for the tip. Knew about Splinterns but hearing about Splintx for the first time.

I am a few dollars short from buying the furious chicken.

Tribaldex.com has the sps/dec pool, and others, some pay liquidity rewards, some don't.

You're right about Tribaldex Diesel Pool.

You can see that the DEC:SPS has some LP rewards paid in BEE:

DEC:SPS Tribaldex Diesel Pool.

But on that pool, the rewards are going to be extremely modest.

If you're holding DEC, you should really be in the DEC:BUSD LP on Cub Finance.

If you're holding SPS, then you should just stake it outright on the Splinterlands site itself.

I figured that was probably the case, thanks for confirming it, though.
The airdrop pays the same?

What I still find hard to understand is why furious chicken is still so expensive LOL

  1. They're out of print.
  2. They're low supply.
  3. They're the only 0 MANA card.

They could still be considered cheap ;)
