I have splinterlands account, but I don't know the rules.
Maybe I need to start to study the game and start to play it
Just play when you can... you learn bit by bit. The crucial point is to understand what you like to play with. Then, it's butter and bread. Does need a bit of investment after you realize you like to play... but I think it compensates quite a lot afterwards.
