A Brawl Battle in Going the Distance ruleset.

This is about my winning match. Playing in Going the Distance ruleset in a brawl battle, I got a good result of winning against the enemy team. This ruleset is about using only ranged attackers where I can't choose melee or magic attackers.

I'll be joining a battle challenge hosted by @splinterlands with this post and I'm linking the challenge link so that other peoples may know about it.

This time I got a battle with 24 mana and I went for it using Plado Emberstorm as the fire summoner.

Here you can see both team where I've found a opponent with 3 cards against my 3 cards.
Battle Ruleset:

I chose fire splinter with 2 fire cards and 1 neutral card where I used Plado Emberstorm as the summoner.

Basically both team chose the same monsters using different summoners and a slightly different lineup and the enemy team chose a monster in gold foil.

The Battle

For Going the Distance ruleset, I could choose only ranged attackers so I really needed to be wise in choosing them and I chose two ranged attackers who could attack from the front position using special abilities and I used the 3rd one which is a gladiator monster with bloodlust ability. The enemy team also chose the same monsters and they had better cards than mine as there was a gold foil in the enemy team but I guess the lineup strategy was in my side.
For the Armored Up ruleset, all monsters in both team got +2 armor at the starting of the battle. and for the Odd Ones Out ruleset, I could chose only odd mana monsters where the even mana monsters were not available to choose. It was really tough to choose only ranged attackers with only odd mana.
Plado Emberstorm offered +1 melee attack which was a waste as there were only ranged monsters and it offered +1 speed to all friendly monsters and it removed 1 health from all enemy monsters each.

Friendly teams Lava Launcher started attacking first and then Sarius followed where enemy teams Lava Launcher lost total 5 armor. Then Lava Launcher of enemy team attacked Gargoya Devil of friendly team where the friendly monster lost two armor. Then Sarius of enemy team attacked Gargoya Devil of friendly team where the friendly monster evaded the attack using flying ability that gives an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters who do not have the flying ability.
Then Gargoya Devil of friendly team attacked Lava Launcher of enemy team where the enemy team lost two armor. And then the golden Gargoya Devil* of enemy team attacked Gargoya Devil of friendly team and it was a missed attack.
Lava Launcher and Gargoya Devil from both team performed ranged attacks from the first position using close range ability.

There was a new round where after some attacks Lava Launcher of enemy team attacked Gargoya Devil of friendly team and the friendly monster died and Lava Launcher of friendly team reached the front position. Then remaining monsters attacked their targets and there was another round where Lava Launcher of friendly team attacked and killed Lava Launcher of enemy team and then Gargoya Devil of enemy team reached the front position.

There was another round where Sarius of friendly team attacked and killed Gargoya Devil of enemy team and the friendly monster got +1 to all stats using bloodlast ability that gives +1 to all stats every time this Monster defeats an opponent. Sarius of the enemy team reached the front position and lost its power to attack. Then the friendly monsters started attacking and killed the last enemy monster and the friendly team won the battle keeping 2 monsters alive.

The next post about splinterlands will be coming soon.
