It's TIME we talk about Rebellion.

It has been years since the invasion of Chaos and the rise of an Empire. The cries of anguish have been replaced with the silence of oppression.
And yet...there are whispers of rebellion. The Defiant are gathering in the secret places, and a single word is fervently uttered in the dark alleys, rural homesteads, taverns, caves, and towns across Praetoria.
VONAK.
Together, We Rise.

It's time we stop ranting and showing off our chosen theme in splinterlands social media challenge, it's time we talk about rebellion.

I'll be joining a battle challenge hosted by @splinterlands with this post and I'm linking the challenge link so that other peoples may know about it.
Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Theme: Rebellion!

The social media challenge this week is not something we used to have in the past, now this challenge has a theme and you need to create your post based on that theme to get rewarded from this challenge and the theme is Rebellion.

The Rebellion set is the fifth core edition of Splinterlands and introduces new gameplay elements.

There were Alpha, Beta, Untamed and Chaos Legion as the core edition of splinterlands and now they're introducing us the fifth core edition which is rebellion.

Along with introducing us new abilities, there'll be some changes to the game once the Rebellion set is released. For example: The Untamed set will no longer be allowed in Modern format battles.

I think Rebellion cards will hold good price as we might not get a lot of copies of the cards when they're released as the airdrop system this time is designed in a way that only players staking unopened Rebellion packs and cards will earn airdrop the rewards. So, most packs may get unopened to get the juicy airdrops so the cards in the market should hold a good price on them.

The Rebellion set will introduce four new unit abilities: Armored Strike, Corrosive Ward, Flank, and Lookout.

When we already know and understand bunch of abilities of the monsters before Rebellion, this time we get four new unit abilities.

ARMORED STRIKE: Any unit with this ability gains an ADDITIONAL Melee attack using its Armor stat. When I'm not sure about this as I don't get to check yet, I think this ability will be effected only when the unit has armor stat otherwise it'd be useless and that might happen in unprotected ruleset.
CORROSIVE WARD: When hit with a Melee attack, a unit with this ability does 2 damage to the attacker's armor AND reduces the max armor of the attacker by 2. I see this is gonna make huge impact on battles as it allows its holder to take revenge on the monster who attacked it by damaging two armor and additionally reducing the max armor of the attacker by 2.
FLANK: If the unit with this ability is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach ability. I see this ability will make great impact as well especially if you wish to use two melee attackers without having any special abilities.
LOOK OUT: A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity. So, this ability will reduce damage to its adjacent friendly monsters from attackers with specific abilities.

NEW SUMMONER TACTICS:

We were introduced to bunch of buffs or debuffs a summoner can grant but this time we're getting introduced to new mind-blowing summoner tactics which will give a totally different vibe to the games ecosystem.

DUAL ELEMENTABILITY CHOICETARGET OPTIONS
We'll be able to choose monsters from two different element in the same battle like we do with Dragon and another element. We can simply blend Water and Death Monsters in a battle with this tacticIt's enough rumbling the battle and skipping to the result after choosing certain summoner and monsters with certain powers. Now its time we have ability choice where we can choose if we wish to buff the friendly team or debuff the enemy team once both teams are revealed on the battlefieldPreviously we could buff as per the summoner offered but with this target options tactic, we can have our say and we can buff certain cards or the entire team as we wish to.

The Rebellion is coming as the PRE-SALE STARTS IN about 20 hours and 27 minutes from this exact moment when I'm writing this at 4:33 PM CDT Time.
