My first win using Byzantine Kitty.

After playing my first match against the Byzantine Kitty summoner, I was excited to use this summoner in battle of mine but this card is too costly in the marketplace but my wish to play with this card stayed neutral so I rented this card to see how it does in the arena.

And I'm about to talk about the first battle that I won.

I still have some CREDITS left in my wallet that I was rewarded with after I bought the spellbook. So I went to the marketplace to see if I can buy a Byzantine Kitty card with all the CREDITS I have in my wallet.

When I was at the card sale page, I was really surprised seeing the lowest value of a single BCX of this card. The lowest cost for a level 1 card was 349$. Yeah that's right, 349$ for a single card and I needed 349,000 CREDITS to buy it when I had only a little more of 2000 CREDITS in my wallet. I understood its not my my cup of tea and then I've found this rent option from where I can rent this card for at least 2 days with a very short amount and I can get a taste of playing a battle using this valuable card.

I needed to pay 86.728 credits to rent this card for 2 days. I paid the credit to bought the card.

And I needed to use my private active key to complete this transaction as any transaction in splinterlands requires private active key of master password.

As this is a high mana card, I needed a battle with a high mana ruleset so I canceled the first battle with 12 mana and I lost the second battle with 25 mana.
Then I checked the lineup of the team I fought as my first battle and I saw that team used a card with thorns ability at the front position so I searched and found a card with thorns ability in earth splinter so I used earth splinter.

This time I got a battle with 27 mana and I went for it.

Battle Ruleset:
The battle ruleset has 27 mana cap.
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

My chosen cards.
I chose fire splinter with 4 fire cards and 2 neutral cards.

Byzantine Kitty	Venari Knifer	Regal Peryton	Goblin Psychic	Venari Scout

Byzantine Kitty: This is the summoner that I chose for my team after I rent it from the rental market and this is the card I'm talking about all along. Byzantine Kitty offers all friendly monsters +2 speed and true strike ability and it will heal the monster in the first position on my team each round.
Venari Knifer: This is a common earth card with 2 melee attacks, 4 speed and 7 health. Venari Knifer has thorns ability that does damage back to the attacker when hit with a melee attack.
Regal Peryton: This is a rare earth card with 1 magic attack, 5 speed and 6 health. Regal Peryton has flying ability that gives an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters who do not have the flying ability.
Goblin Psychic: This is a common earth card with 2 magic attacks, 1 speed and 3 health. Goblin Psychic has tank heal ability that restores a portion of the monster in the first positions health each round which is similar to an ability of Byzantine Kitty and I kind of used this card for this ability although id didn't work on the battle.
Venari Scout: This is a common earth card with 1 melee attack, 2 speed, 3 health. Venari Scout has opportunity ability that allows the monster to attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Enemy's chosen cards.
The enemy chose dragon splinter with 2 dragon cards and 2 fire cards.

Tarsa	Antoid Platoon	Chaos Agent	Uraeus	Serpentine Spy	Tenyii Striker	Radiated Scorcher

Tarsa: This is the summoner that the enemy team chose. Tarsa offers all friendly monsters +1 health and all friendly melee attackers +1 melee attack.
Antoid Platoon: This is a common fire card with 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 2 shield and 3 health. It has shield ability that reduce damage from melee and ranged attacks.
Chaos Agent: This is a common neutral card with 2 speed and 1 health. It doesn't have any ability in first level.
Uraeus: This is an epic neutral card with 1 melee attack, 2 speed, 1 shield and 2 health. It has sneak ability that target the last monster of the enemy team instead of the first monster.
Serpentine Spy: This is a common fire card with 2 melee attacks, 3 speed and 1 health. It has opportunity ability that allows the monster to attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.
Tenyii Striker: This is a rare fire card with 2 melee attacks, 2 speed and 6 health. Tenyii Striker has sneak ability that allows to target the last monster of the enemy team instead of the first monster.
Radiated Scorcher: This is a common fire card with 1 melee attack, 2 speed and 2 health. It doesn't have any ability in first level.

The Battle

From my first battle, I was actually surprised seeing how Byzantine Kitty heals the first position holder with health so I wished to use this summoner card especially for that ability and then I've found the Goblin Psychic card in earth splinter that offers the same ability so I used that as well thinking both of them would heal the first position holder if it needed.

But Goblin Psychic died early just after doing a single attack and 3 enemy monsters out of 6 were attacking a single monster of my team and that's Venari Scout and it was happening because a monster from enemy team had opportunity ability and found my Venari Scout with the lowest health and other two enemy monsters had sneak ability and found my Venari Scout at the last position.

Venari Scout of my team did good by attacking with both its melee attacks and from its thorns ability and it kept killing cards of enemy team.

Byzantine Kitty of my team healed my Venari Knifer for two or three times throughout the whole battle. And it offering true strike and +2 speed to all my cards came in handy as well. Although I haven't understand the battle properly but I understood that using Byzantine Kitty was not a bad idea.
