Unleashing Chaos: A Tale of Amplified Power in the Splinterlands Arena.

Up to Eleven.png

In the mystical realm of Splinterlands, where battles are waged and strategies tested, I recently found myself thrust into a fierce confrontation under the Up to Eleven ruleset. The Amplify ability, a force to be reckoned with, granted my friendly monsters an extraordinary boost—increasing Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all adversaries by a staggering factor of one.

This is about my losing match. Battling in up to eleven ruleset in a brawl battle, I tried well with my strategy but just for trying to show off following the ruleset, the result didn't go well for me against the enemy team.

I'll be joining a battle challenge hosted by @splinterlands with this post and I'm linking the challenge link so that other peoples may know about it.
Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge!

This time I got a battle with 27 mana and I went for it using Mylor Crowling as the earth summoner.

THIS IS THE BATTLE LINK.

Here you can see both team where I've found a enemy team with six monsters against my six monsters.

Battle Ruleset:

The battle ruleset has 27 mana cap.
Up to Eleven: All monsters have the amplify ability.
Equal Opportunity: All monsters have the opportunity ability.
Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities of summoner buffs.

My chosen cards.
I chose earth splinter with four earth monsters and two neutral monsters where I used Mylor Crowling as the summoner.

Enemy's chosen cards.
The enemy also chose earth splinter with six earth monsters using Obsidian as the earth summoner.

I kind of chose the whole lineup following the special (up to eleven) ruleset where I chose the summoner Mylor Crowling for its thorns ability, there are three monsters with magic reflect and one with return fire ability among the monsters I chose. The amplify ability from the ruleset effects these specific abilities so I tried all of them in the battle.

My strategy could be a good one if the enemy team didn't chose Quora Towershead. I also have that monster in my collection but I didn't use her because I wished to choose the monsters that has some abilities which can get affected by the ruleset.

The Battle

Mylor Crowling offered thorns ability all friendly monsters. Then Obsidian, the enemy summoner gave one magic to two enemy magic monsters.

The enemy team had all kinds of attackers (melee, magic, ranged) and the friendly monsters had all abilities (magic reflect, return fire, thorns) that get effected by the ruleset. Mushroom Seer of the enemy team tried to decrease one magic damage from the friendly magic attackers but they already had the lowest magic damage so it was a waste and the enemy team chose Fungus Flinger with martyr ability and made a great strategy.

image.png

The battle was also dominated by "Opportunity" ruleset so the monsters with the lowest health would be the first targets.

Friendly teams Prismatic Energy started attacking first where Fungus Flinger of the enemy team lost only one health from the magic damage. Then Quora Towershead attacked and killed two friendly monsters (Furious Chicken & Fungus Fiend) with two damage (magic+melee) and the enemy monster got +2 to all stats using bloodlast ability twice for the double kill although the friendly Fungus Fiend damaged three health of the attacker using thorns ability against the melee damage.

Then Centauri Mage killed the enemy Fungus Flinger where the enemy monster became martyr and its two adjacent monsters (Failed Summoner & Quora Towershead) got +1 to all stats and the enemy team became stronger.

image.png

Minotaur Warlord of the friendly team did a big damage where Hill Giant lost four health and then Mushroom Seer damaged three health of the friendly Failed Summoner where the friendly monster did a magic reflect damage and killed the enemy attacker.

Fungus Fiend of the enemy team also attacked using the opportunity ability and damaged one health of Failed Summoner and there was the thorns ability in all friendly monsters which killed this enemy attacker as well. Then Hill Giant of the enemy team also died from thorns damage after attacking a friendly monster. So, three enemy monsters died one after one from these backfires which means my strategy was working good till now.

image.png

There was a new round where the enemy Quora Towershead did some healing herself first using heal ability and then she killed the friendly Failed Summoner using the magic damage and got +1 to all stats using the bloodlast ability and it lost four health to the magic reflect ability of the dying friendly monster.

Quora Towershead then damaged six health of the friendly Minotaur Warlord using the melee damage so it got thorns damage and lost three health as well.

The friendly Prismatic Energy & Centauri Mage attacked one after another and damaged two health of the enemy Failed Summoner and the enemy monster did magic reflect damage where both friendly monsters lost two health each after damaging one health.

Now there was a new round where after increasing some health using heal ability, the enemy Quora Towershead killed the friendly Minotaur Warlord using the magic damage and the enemy monster lost four health to magic reflect damage, got +1 to all stats and then killed the friendly Prismatic Energy using the melee damage, lost three health to the thorns damage and got +1 to all stats again.

Then killed the last friendly monster easily with one shot in the next round and the enemy team won the battle keeping only Quora Towershead alive.

NEXT TIME.

The next post about splinterlands will be coming soon.
Screenshots are my take from the game website. The thumbnail was made in Canva and I got a little help from chatgpt with the beginning paragraph and the title.
