What a DRAW! using Molten Ash Golem.

Molten Ash Golem.jpg

I didn't win nor lost, it's a draw. Trying using Molten Ash Golem in a battle, I got this result of a draw and I really liked this battle.
As this card was not too costly, I bought it from the marketplace and I started playing with it.

And I'm about to talk about that battle where the result came as DRAW.

I'll be joining a battle challenge hosted by @splinterlands with this post and I'm linking the challenge link so that other peoples may know about it.
SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MOLTEN ASH GOLEM

I still have some CREDITS left in my wallet that I was rewarded with after I bought the spellbook. So I went to the marketplace to see if I can buy a this card with all the CREDITS I have in my wallet.

I didn't come heartbroken this time as this card is a cheap one in price. It's lowest value was 0.066$ for a 1 BCX card and I bought one in that price.

I needed to pay 66 credits for 0.066$. I paid the credit to bought the card.

And I needed to use my private active key to complete this transaction as any transaction in splinterlands requires private active key of master password.

This card offers me an ability from the beginning level and that ability allows this card to attack from the second position even after being a ranged attacker and we know that ranged attacker can't attack from the first position.

The first battle that I went for using this theme card, I won that battle but the battle didn't happen as the opponent surrendered. And the second battle was a draw which I'm going to talk about.

This time I got a battle with 30 mana and I went for it.

THIS IS THE BATTLE LINK.

Here you can see both team where I've found a opponent with 6 cards against my 5 cards and all the opponent cards.

Battle Ruleset:
The battle ruleset has 30 mana cap.
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

My chosen cards.
I chose fire splinter with 3 fire cards, 1 dragon card and 1 neutral card.

Byzantine Kitty: This is the summoner that I chose for my team and its a rented summoner that I'll be able to play with for long although I may rent it again if I think its necessary. Byzantine Kitty offers all friendly monsters +2 speed and true strike ability and it will heal the monster in the first position on my team each round.
Djinn Chwala: This is an epic dragon card with 2 melee attacks, 2 speed, 5 shield and 9 health. Djinn Chwala has thorns that does damage back to the attacker when getting hit with melee attack.
Molten Ash Golem: This is a rare fire card with 1 ranged attack, 1 speed and 9 health. Molten Ash Golem has close range ability that allows to perform ranged attacks from first position.
Tenyii Striker: This is a rare fire card with 2 melee attacks, 2 speed, 6 health. Tenyii Striker has sneak ability that allows to target the last monster of the enemy team instead of the first monster.
Goblin Fireballer: This is a common fire card with 1 ranged attack, 1 speed, 2 health. Goblin Fireballer doesn't have any ability in the 1st level but it unlocks an ability at the fifth level and another at level 10.
Xenith Archer: This is a rare neutral card with 1 ranged attack, 1 speed, 2 health. Xenith Archer doesn't have any ability in the 1st level.

Venari Knifer: This is a common earth card with 2 melee attacks, 4 speed and 7 health. Venari Knifer has thorns ability that does damage back to the attacker when hit with a melee attack.
Regal Peryton: This is a rare earth card with 1 magic attack, 5 speed and 6 health. Regal Peryton has flying ability that gives an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters who do not have the flying ability.
Goblin Psychic: This is a common earth card with 2 magic attacks, 1 speed and 3 health. Goblin Psychic has tank heal ability that restores a portion of the monster in the first positions health each round which is similar to an ability of Byzantine Kitty and I kind of used this card for this ability although id didn't work on the battle.
Venari Scout: This is a common earth card with 1 melee attack, 2 speed, 3 health. Venari Scout has opportunity ability that allows the monster to attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Enemy's chosen cards.
The enemy chose water splinter with 4 water cards and 2 neutral cards.

The Battle

I was still trying out Byzantine Kitty and my first owned dragon card which is Djinn Chwala and then I've found the new battle challenge post and its about Molten Ash Golem. I already had the theme card in the starter set but I still bought one as I'm joining the challenge.
The first battle that I played using Molten Ash Golem was a draw and that's the battle I'm talking about here in this post. Later I played some more matches using Molten Ash Golem but I lost in them so I stopped playing with this.

image.png
After choosing Djinn Chwala, which is a melee attacker with thorns ability at the front position, I used Molten Ash Golem although I wouldn't chose the second position for this card as its a ranged attacker but its close range ability makes it different than any ordinary ranged attacker as this monster can attack from the front as well for that ability only.

Then I used the Tenyii Striker, a melee attacker with sneak ability at the third position and I chose the third position for this monster because it can attack from anywhere using its sneak ability. And then I chose two ranged attackers with small mana needed.

image.png
Byzantine Kitty gave +2 speed and True Strike ability to all my monsters and the summoner of the enemy team gave +1armor and + 1 speed to all its monsters.

One of the enemy monsters attacked Djinn Chwala and Djinn Chwala couldn't the favor using its thorns until other monsters of my team with lower health died as all the enemy melee monsters have either sneak ability or opportunity ability (I'll talk about Djinn Chwala in a different post). Then monsters of my team started attacking as well and they didn't miss any attack for having the True Strike ability from the summoner otherwise Djinn Oshannus of enemy would evade some attacks using void ability.

image.png
Merdaali guardian of enemy team was using its Tank Heal ability to heal Djinn Oshannus and enemy monsters killed two of my monsters already that I chose for last two positions.

Byzantine Kitty kept healing Djinn Chwala and Merdaali Guardian kept healing Djinn Oshannus using Tank Heal ability. And at a point, I lost every monsters except Djinn Chwala.

image.png
Now my Djinn Chwala was one man army against the whole enemy team of five monsters and still the match was a draw (I'll talk about Djinn Chwala in a different post).

Djinn Chwala kept using its Thorns against an enemy melee attacker and kept breaking its armor but another enemy monster kept repairing the armor and then one melee attacker of enemy team out of 2 died

image.png
There started a repeated action for a long time, from round 9 to 20.

The repeated action started from Byzantine Kitty healing Djinn Chwala, then Djinn Oshannus and Djinn Chwala attacked one another, then Uraeus attacked Djinn Chwala and Djinn Chwala returned the favor using its thorns ability, then Merdaali Guardian healed Djinn Oshannus and then Scavo Hireling repaired armor of Uraeus.
And it kept happening in circles for 11 rounds.

image.png
And then there was this automated fatigue situation started killing monsters from both team until everyone dies and I think it happened because the match was not going to end on its own.
Fatigue kept killing monsters for 3 rounds and then the result came to draw.

NEXT TIME.

The next post about splinterlands will be coming soon.
Screenshots are my take from the game website.

SEE YOU.

Now that was a surprising match, yeah I believed Portugal will win but I didn't see this result coming.
