Hello and good day once again fellow hivers, gamers and bloggers...it is I once again posting for the weekly battle challenge. Hope you will find a little enjoyment as you go through my post.

LORE

NERISSA is a fierce and valiant warrior of the sea, equipped with her magical trident. Noted in the many coastal fishing villages, she is called upon for her bravery and shrewdness in the face of adversity. Nerissa the Hurricane, as she is commonly known, has defeated some of the greatest aquatic beasts and risked her life to save those in peril of raging hurricanes and devastating tsunamis. Her courage and resourcefulness have allowed for great safety for these communities and settlements. From an early age, Nerissa could be found in the seas, swimming before she could even walk. She quickly sensed that the depths of the ocean contained an ancient power, and responded to the call of the deep. Thus, she journeyed across the Splinterlands, ready to take on whatever challenges lay beneath the waves.

As settlers and explorers ventured through Praetoria, Nerissa was always there to guide them. But a blight that brought ruin and ruin to the land was what made a damper on her spirits. Its corruption penetrated the waters that were so near and dear to her heart. On her travels, she commonly encountered Igor the Finback and his brood of Trench Dwellers, keeping a safe distance so as not to unintentionally test their tempers. But upon learning of the real motives behind the Chaos Legion,. this spurred her to take a stand and defend the people of Praetoria regardless of the cost. Such was her mission: To protect her homeland with her every breath.

STATS

NERISSA is an Epic card from water splinter. She boasts a high 9HP at her base level which gradually increases as her level rises up. She can gain a max 11HP at her max level. She do not have any special or added abilities even if she reached her max level but what's most notable about her is her magic attack damage which she deals to any enemy at every turn. At base level she is armed with 3units of magic attack which, like her HP, increases as her level rises. Upon reaching level 6 which is her max level she is fully armed with 5units of magic attack. She can cause massive damage to any enemy and may even be able to single-handedly kill off all enemy in the battle field.

As you can see there is no special ruleset or restrictions in this battle and the mana allowed to spend is max 50. All Splinters are available and can be played.

SUMMONER: POSSIBILUS THE WISE

This summoner will grant ally monsters with +2HP, a TRAMPLE and REACH ability. Some of my chosen cards for this battle already have high HP, supplement that with the added HP my summoner grants, and my cards will surely stay in the game much longer, giving me more room to finish off the opponents. The TRAMPLE ability allow my monster to perform another attack on the next monster on the opponent's cards when their last target is killed.

DIEMONSHARK

I picked this monster for my Tank since it high HP most of all, then it has decent speed at 4units, a high amount of armor at 6units and a decent melee attacking power at 2units. This monster has the TRAMPLE ability which allows it to attack the next opponent in line when his first target gets killed. This ability is the same as what my summoner has granted all my chosen cards in the line-up

FLYING SQUID

Also a decent monster in my disposal. It initially has the REACH ability so it can still attack the opponent's front line-up despite this being in the 2nd Position. It also has high HP at 8units while it boasts a high 3unit melee attacking power aside from its 3units speed

DJINN OSHANUSS

This monster is the one taking Third Position in my line-up. It is s speedy monster boasting 5units of speed. This speedy monster is sure to make the attack of opponents with lower speed than his. It also has high mana at ** 10units**. It can damage the opponents HP directly at every turn with 2units of magic attacking power. It also has the added ability being VOID- which reduces the damage it receives from monsters using magic attacks

MAGI OF CHAOS

This card occupies the 4th Slot of my line-up. It's a medium cost mana as well as HP at 6units. He is armed with a decent amount of magic attacks to supplement the other magic attackers in my line-up. He deals 2units of magic damage to any enemy it hits every time his turn comes up. He is two of the lowest HP in my line-up so I placed him in the middle so he is well guarded from backline attackers of the opponent.

DEEP LURKER

I picked him and put in the 5th Position because I liked how versatile this monster is. Its OPPORTUNITY ability is very helpful in almost all battles using Water Splinter. He is armed 3units melee attacking power which is surely able to cause damage to any opponent it hits, be it their armor or their HP. He may be a slow to medium speed monster but his HP grants him the time to stay long enough in battle to cause some major damage to opponent's line-up.

NERISSA TRIDAWN

The last but not the least...I picked NERISSA TRIDAWN and placed her in the Last Slot since she has high HP at 10units. This amount of HP is makes her a good candidate for either using her as a Tank or in the backend of the line up to thwart the SNEAKY monster's attacks from the opponent. Her high damaged-inducing magic attacks makes up for her high mana cost making any mana used in using or choosing her a mana well spent. At base level she can deal 3units magic attacks to any enemy. Despite having no added or special ability, her magic damage alone is enough to make any battle mage to consider picking her up and be allowed to go and join in the battlefield.

THE BATTLE

The 1st Round started with our chosen summoners granting all the special ability that comes with them. from there both sides changed massive damaging blows which resulted in my Tank dying off first right before the round ended.

I now have only 5 monsters left to carry my battle through to the succeeding rounds.

Then, the 2nd Round started. The barrage of attacks rain down my current Tank, previously in 2nd Slot, which also immediately made me lose him in the early stage of the round. After few more exchanges of blows and attacks, I succeeded in exterminating one of opponent's monsters in the middle stage of the battle. It was a card with TAUNT ability placed at the backend of opponent's line-up which made my cards concentrate their attacks on it. This way the opponent's frontline monster is able to cause some massive damage to my frontline monster since it got DOUBLE STRIKE ability aside from it was healed continuously by their healer. The round ended with me having only 4monsters left while the opponent still has 5monsters with him.

The 3rd Round went on with an attack from both sides' fastest monsters followed by an attack by the opponent's Tank which eliminated another monster in my line-up. I gained the upper hand when DEEP LURKER attacked and eliminated one of the opponent's magic user and since it was granted TRAMPLE ability by my summoner it immediately attack the monster following the one it killed in the line-up. This round ended with both sides having the same numbers of monsters.

Upon seeing the remaining monsters it was clear that I have the advantage since mine has more HP's left in them.

The 4th Round started with the opponent's attacks since he has the fastest monster among remained ones in the battlefield. It immediately eliminated my current Tank. After killing off my Tank my remaining 2monsters each attack the opponent's Tank simultaneously dealing massive damage and killing it off in the process. The opponent's HEALER card couldn't do anything since it was the last to perform an action and make an attack being the slowest among the monsters. The round ended with both sides having 2monsters remaining each.

The 5th and 6th Rounds ended with short exchanges of blows from each side since only few monsters were left. In the end only NERISSA TRIDAWN was the only one left standing without any scratch or damage having a complete HP.

POV

The opponent have chosen a good line up but I emerged victorious in this battle since I have the better cards placed in my line-up. Furthermore I have higher HP's in my monsters which make them stay in the battle longer, thanks to my summoner's ability.

I have managed to use all my available mana and chose the best card possible at my disposal. Including NERISSA TRIDAWN to complete my line-up was the correct choice since her power played a major role in causing damage to the opponents. Although this time, I haven't made full use of her high HP being placed in the back since the opponent didn't use one with SNEAK ability. Still, I will still use the same line-up when an opportunity arises since this battle gave me a victory.
