My first free game on splinterlands was in August 2022 that was also the time I decided to join the league..

Well at first the game seems all complicated and I was only interested in it then cause it was a play2earn. After a few wins and losses, I still find it complicated. I decided to make a note on all monsters under each summoner's abilities, attack and mana of each card, maybe to study them and know the actual cards to use in each battle. The notes was endless, and i couldn't study them all, it was more complicated as I thought, i decided to let go of Spld September 2022

Recently I was reading a couple of Battle mage on splinterlands on some hivers post, and I got motivated by a post from @mypathtofire, I commented and asked him a few questions about battles. He was plain and very helpful too. Thanks so much for that..

So i decided to login back my one year old account on spld and play one free game on splinterlands well i lost, i doubled it to play another one and i won, played again and lost..

I wasn't satisfied, i then decided to become a full time member by paying for the summoners spellbook $10

I converted $10 of HBD to Hive which was finalized in three days and finished up the transaction with my hivesigner account.

Some of my first games

Well after purchasing the summoners spellbook, i picked a name and decided to go with igfreda. I then played some games and most of them were with bots which I lost while one was with an actual person, and I lost too. I am just gonna share this one so as to learn what exactly I did wrong.

For this battle to be honest i had no idea what i'm doing, But i actually thought i was gonna win based on the mana cost of the card, you know the higher the mana the higher your chance of winning,so i thought guess i thought wrong. I went for Monsters with the highest mana cost. Did I win??

ROUND 1 & 2- Venari knifer Vs Goblin psychic- FIGHT

Venari Knifer attacked Goblin psychic first leaving him with just a life left. With all the attacks on the Venari knifer I wonder why this card still stands strong, maybe because he has the thorns ability. Mycelic slipspawn and Goblin psychic got vanquished in round 2

ROUND 3 & 4 - Unicorn Mustang Vs Venari knifer. FIGHT

I'm gonna give the Unicorn mustang some credit here. He really took a lot of hits from his opponents, and took the thorns hit from Venari Knifer but yet it was left to be the last card standing, my guess would be maybe because he has the void ability and 10 solid lives..

After much attack from his opponents. Veneri knife gave the last hit and finished my beloved Unicorn Mustang off with a death blow.

Summary

With no ruleset set out and all card experiences are in level one, I think I'm getting a really good hang of which card to use and which works best in my future battles. It was a hell of a match, though I lost and would love to learn more.
