Battles of The Day: Goblin Mech

Goblin MechPORTADA.png

Goblin Mech was one of my favorite cards a few years ago and it was also one of the most powerful cards of its time, however, although there are many other cards that are equal or better than Goblin Mech, this is a card that is still widely used today, especially since being a NEUTRAL card, its usefulness is doubled by being able to be used with any type of deck, so because of this, the battles and today's post is dedicated to this powerful card that today is still very current due to its great utility:

In this first battle I decided to use the WATER deck, because if I remember correctly, the other decks, except for WATER and FIRE, were blocked and since I don't like to use the FIRE deck so much, I preferred to use WATER. Since the Battle Rule was active: "Melee Mayhem", I chose to use mostly Melee cards to make the most of this rule and also, a second Battle Rule was also active, being that: "Equalizer", so all the cards in this battle were going to have a lot of life points, so due to all the above mentioned, this was the strategy I chose for this first battle: In first position I placed the protagonist card of today: Goblin Mech, which is a pretty strong Melee type card, it has a good amount of life points and a pretty good defense shield level, but also, the strong point of this card is its "Piercing" ability, which combined with its attack points, which are very high, with 5 points of tax damage, makes this card quite lethal.

The following cards in the formation are also of Melee type except for the card that is in last position, since I placed Spirit Miner, to take advantage of his ability "Swiftness" and thus improve the speed of certain cards that are in my strategy that are a little slow, especially the card that is in second position which is: Torhilo The Frozen, I quite like this card because it is quite resistant to both physical attacks and magic attacks, but the only negative aspect that I find this card is that it is extremely slow, counting with only 1 point of speed, so Spirit Miner's "Swiftness" ability was quite useful in this battle (although Torhilo The Frozen can be even more useful with the right Battle Rule).

In third position is: Diemonshark, another powerful Melee card, also very resistant, especially against physical attacks, this card is quite complete for physical battles only and one of the best in the WATER deck. In fourth position is another card that took advantage of the buff of the "Swiftness" ability, which despite not being a card as slow as Torhilo The Frozen, with its 2 points of speed is also quite slow, but this Legendary card is quite powerful and in turn, very resistant to magical attacks, that card is: Legionnaire Alvan. In the penultimate position and because I wanted to take full advantage of the Battle Rule "Melee Mayhem", I placed: Demented Shark, which is a card that thanks to its "Inspire" ability boosts Melee type attacks, which is perfect for this occasion and in last position a card that doesn't need much introduction since I've been talking about it a lot in this post: Spirit Miner.

In this second battle I used one of my favorite decks: DEATH, so this was the formation for this second battle: In first position again is the protagonist card of today: Goblin Mech, a card of which I already talked enough in this post so it is redundant to mention again its excellent qualities. In second position I placed a card with one of my favorite abilities: "Reach", that card is: The Gorlodon, which is a card with extremely good stats except for its speed, which with only 1 point of speed makes it an extremely slow card, however, in this second battle I used Spirit Miner again, so its ability "Swiftness" was again a great help.

In third position is a card of the Magic Attack type which I have mentioned many times that, at the level of design I think is one of the best of all Splinterlands and also at the level of stats is an extremely powerful card and has a set of skills that makes this card quite lethal, that card is: Djinn Muirat. In fourth position is Spirit Miner, a card that is already unnecessary to talk about their qualities, so we continue the penultimate position, finding there: Boogeyman, which is a card that with his skills "Rust" and "Slow", makes this card is quite annoying for who you are facing stress. While in the last position and to further damage your opponent's cards with negative buffs, we find: Octopider, a card of the Rank Attack type and with the ability "Demoralize".
