Weekly Challenge: LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR

Another week and another Splinterlands challenge, this time with a Neutral and legendary card that I like to use in my battles, that card is: Legionnaire Alvar, a very powerful and useful Melee card. This is a card resistant to magical attacks due to its ability "Void Armor" which the magical attacks go directly to its shield points and not to its life points and also has a second ability (being this card in LVL 2) called "Giant Killer" which is an ability that I like a lot. So, without wasting too much time, these are the battles of the day with the main card Legionnaire Alvar:

In this first battle I used the LIFE summoner "Tyrus Paladium", which has an ability that gives +1 shield to all my cards in the formation, so it is a perfect ability for Legionnaire Alvar, as it can make it more resistant to magical attacks, so the strategy for this battle was as follows: In first position I placed the main card of this week's challenge: Legionnaire Alvar, an excellent card which can save you in a battle you were about to lose. I remember that at the beginning I didn't like this card very much, but as time went by I could see its great utility in battle.

In second position is one of my favorite cards and one of the cards that does not need so much introduction: Spirit Miner, which thanks to its ability "Swiftness" is very useful both for Legionnaire Alvar as it has only 2 points of speed and is also very useful for the card that is in the third position, being that card: Adelade Brightwing, which is a card that benefits from Spirit Miner's ability, because it is a card too slow, with only 1 point in speed, but in addition, Adelade Brightwing's utility is of great help for Legionnaire Alvar due to its "Repair" ability, so Legionnaire Alvar's resistance to magical attacks is increased.

In fourth position is a card that I like to use a lot, because it is a very useful card with a low mana cost, that card is: Venari Crystalsmith, which is a card of the Rank Attack type, very useful thanks to its stats, but especially thanks to its ability "Tank Heal". In penultimate position I placed Creeping Ooze, which has the ability "Slow", so it is detrimental to my opponent and in last position to fill that empty space is: Soul Fiend.

BATTLE 1

In this second battle this time I used my favorite DEATH type summoner: Zinter Mortaus and because the Battle Rule was active in this battle: Melee Mayhem, I focused on using Melee type cards that are strong and also, some card with the ability "Demoralize", because together with the ability of Zinter Mortaus, which subtracts -1 Melee points to the cards of my opponent, combined with "Demoralize", will weaken any Melee type card of my opponent, so the strategy for this second battle was as follows: In first position is again the protagonist card of this week's challenge: Legionnaire Alvar. In second position is one of my favorite cards of the DEATH deck: Haunted Spirit, one of the oldest cards in my collection and thanks to its "Heal" ability, makes it a very resistant card, in addition to its good stats.

In third position is a card that in stats level is very good and in mana cost is quite low, this card is: Pelacor Deceiver, a card with a very high amount of life points. Being in LVL 5, Pelacor Deceiver has 10 health points and also has the ability "Flying" so it is very evasive to enemy attacks, except for magical attacks. In fourth position is a card with the "Demoralize" ability that I mentioned before, that card is: Fallen Specter, a Magic Attack type card, which is very useful thanks to its ability, but it is an extremely weak card, since it only has one (1) life point. While in the last two positions are cards to fill the two empty spaces in the formation, as they are 0 mana cost cards, those cards are: Corpse Fiend and Furius Chicken.
