Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hey guys.. Mingalar par မင်္ဂလာပါ..
Am I late for this? Well.. anyhow, I'd like to share today battle that may be interesting for some.
The battle was Water vs Earth splinters. Mana cap was 56, so we don't have to worry about the mana and use high mana cost monsters. The rules were Up close & Personal which meant only melee were allowed and Noxious Fumes which meant all monsters shall be effected by the poison and reduce 2 health each round. Poison meant, both of us would use cards with high hit points melee cards sacrificing some attacks because not all high hit point melee cards have range ability except for reach, opportunity and sneak and those cards tend to have lower hit points.
Another thing to remember with melee only battle is to use Demoralized ability that would reduce 1 attack and Shield ability, that would reduce the attack again plus, ability that increase the attack.
For the poison, use cards with Cleanse ability to remove negative poison effect on the tank(the monster with Cleanse ability will only work when it has its turn). In this battle, the rule allowed only melee cards so that those cards were not available at least to me.
My opponent used all Demoralized, Shield and +1 Melee attack abilities. I went on to using Water because I want to use this rented card called Lir Deepswimmer, it cost a lot but since I didn't have to worry about mana, I just used it even though some boosts were not very relevant to this battle. I used Demoralized feature, but my main strategy was Sea Monster, which has high hit point and Heal ability. I placed it in a secure slot. It has only one job to do, heal it self.

Let's see which strategy worked.

_{All my attacks were reduced that only Deeplurker had enough attack to damage enemies. The rest, wouldn't be able to make any damage. My reduction of enemy attacks were canceled out by enemy monster. Do I have a chance?}

_{Only poison effected on all cards and some shield damage in round-2. My Sea Monster healed it self.}

_{My Sea Monster's health is still intact.}

Clearly, my strategy worked and it was only because of Poison effect. In normal condition, I had no chance to win the battle.
When you get to higher league, it become more interesting due to the game rules. There are so many ways to win or loose the battle.
I don't know if I can reach to even higher league this season. I am currently having 1500+ rating points and short of less than 400 points to reach Gold League. If I can reach to it, I'll need to rent more cards to have enough power though.
