Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

I haven't post about Splinterlands for a while, partly because I was busy and partly because of loss internet connection for a while. Another reason is that at the start of the season, I was back to 700 rating points and couldn't get back to Silver league where I found it easier to win. At least for a week at the beginning of the new season, I used to relegated back to like around 500 rating points, which is pretty disappointing. For me, Bronze league is a bit difficult, found it too many reasons to loose a battle. For example, I'd loose when I face with a strong team, lost because the team I selected would just lost to the opponent team that would usually lose against other selection otherwise or just a bit of unlucky. As the season goes on, people with good team and cards move on and it become easier and manage to go up to Silver league. I find it pretty disappointing that I am thinking for moving up a higher league may be.
Anyhow, now is the final days of the season and it become easier to win for me and I'd like to share a battle for the Social Media Challenge.

The mana cap for the battle was 99 and WATER, EARTH and DEATH splinters were allowed to use. Typical team for 99 mana cap battle at this level is EARTH splinter which I think has the highest winning rate. Mycelic Slipspawn is the core team member. So, my strategy would be use a team that include Rune Crafter that has the ability to have double damage on the taunting card, the Mycelic Slipspawn. Rune Crafter is a neutral monster and decided to try with WATER splinter with the summoner that would boost a speed and a shield. I'd try with Swamp Splitter, the card that I got from the chests recently that has repair ability that works well with the summoner's shield buff. Another card that I'd like to try is Coastan Sentry that has 3 melee attack with double strike ability. Although it is not as strong as a 10 mana cost monster, it has decent speed of 3 and would get 4 speed because of the summoner. So, I can take it for granted to have 6 attacks from that monster.

Let's see the battle.

_{As most of my team targeted Mycelic Slipspawn, it was knocked out by Rune Crafter with double damage on it. Although Costal Sentry and Flying Squid targeted enemy Unicorn Mustang, total damage was not enough to knocked it out and it was healed a bit. As Costal Sentry hit point is not very high and was targeted by all enemy monsters, it was knocked out in the 1st round. The shield restore made it a bit harder kill it though.}

_{Enemy taunting monster was out in the 1st round and my team would be targeting the enemy as it designed to. Both Unicorn Mustang and Goblin Physics were knocked out easily.}

_{By the time my 2nd monster was knocked out, enemy was left with just 2 range units.}

_{Enemy team survived just enough to reach the 5th round.}

Did my Strategy Worked?
At 99 mana cap, EARTH splinter is pretty strong and I played countless 99 mana battle with EARTH splinter and won. So, my strategy seemed to work. Although Rune Crafter is relatively slow, Mycelic Slipspawn is not a fast monster either. So it had no issue hitting the taunting monster and got the job done.
