Splinterlands Weekly Challenge! ANTOID PLATOON

Welcome back to my blockchain gaming post. I've been away for a while because I was a bit busy and partly because, I found it very difficult to win the battles these days for some reason. As a result, I am still in the bronze league where I usually comfortably reach silver league.

This week challenge is ANTOID PLATOON which is Fire a splinter card. I have to say Fire splinter is not my favorite.

CHALLENGE RULES

* THEME: ANTOID PLATOON
* Edition: CHAOS LEGION
* Rarity: COMMON
* Element: FIRE
* ATTACK: MELEE
* ABILITIES: Shield

Summoner : Tarsa


Tarsa, provides additional melee attack and addition health at 4 mana cost. For I was going for only melee cards, Tarsa may be a suitable choice.

First Position : RADIATED SCORCHER


This card is used as tank because it cost only 1 mana, has 2 speed. Can boost the attack and health by using Tarsa as summoner. With 2 speed it might have a chance to attack enemy tank. Most importantly, it would give 1 speed Antoid Platoon a chance to attack. Radiated Scorcher may be best to use with Living Lava as it could take some damage on behalf of Living Lava and when it died, Living Lava has a turn to attack without getting much damage.

Second Position : ANTOID PLATOON (Featuring Monster)


As the name suggest, Antoid Platoon consists of a group f fire ants. At a cost of 4 manas, Antoid Platoon may be one of the cheapest card come with shield ability with decent hit point. Suitable to use as a tank in low mana cost battles.

Last Position : URAEUS


Being a natural monster, Uraeus can be used with any splinter. With a shield, it should be able to take care of most of the sneaking attacks.

The battle was 12 mana capped battle. Being low mana capped battle, it is likely to field low mana cost with low attack cards. Antoid Platoon may be a suitable choice because of its shield ability.

Did my strategy work?
While it might not be strongest line up, it served the purpose of Antoid Platoon consume the attacks without damaging and Uraeus sneak to take out the enemy one by one starting from the end of the line. It can be said, my strategy worked well against enemy's strategy of healing the tank.


Do I like Antoid Platoon?
Antoid Platoon is pretty good with low mana cost battles. It is a good tank along side Living Lava which is a good tank for high mana battles.

You should give more details of your battle strategy, covering the reasons why you played that way, so that the post is much more complete and interesting and adds value. Your format is not so bad, but you should also improve it.
