Card In Spotlight : QUORA TOWERSHEAD | The Most Loved And Useful Gladius Card Of All.

Hello, my dear Splinterlanders. How are you today? I hope you're doing great.
Those who reach this post, I wish you a good day.

The Splinterlands team made another huge update and introduced the first-of-its-kind, dual-element card, the Zyriel. She's a Legendary Life/Death monster card.
Also, a new rule set, 'Born Again', has been added. It gives all monsters the 'Rebirth' ability. The battles will become more competitive with this ruleset, for sure.

Anyway, moving forward, in the ' Card In Spotlight ' series, I review the best and undervalued cards of the Splinterlands and their use-case. This is the fifth edition and you can read the previous editions here -

*Edition 1: Card In Spotlight : Baakjira | This Ancient Beast Is The Ultimate Tank Of The Water Splinter.

*Edition 2: Card In Spotlight : RIFTWING | Kill This Monster If You Can.

*Edition 3: Card In Spotlight : GRUND | Here Comes Grund The Ultimate Tank Destroyer Of The Spilterlands.

*Edition 4: Card In Spotlight : LORNA SHINE | Mantra To Win Every Low Mana Cap Battles | Lorna And Her Sneak Attack Army.

*Edition 5: Card In Spotlight : AGOR LONGTAIL | Fear Her Fury, She's The Legend.

In this edition, I'll discuss an epic Gladius card from the Earth Splinter which is a bit costly to use in battle but can be a cause to win in the majority of battles. Also, she's the most favorite Gladius card I guess.
Did you guess it, I'm talking about the QUORA TOWERSHEAD.

I'll explain the best rulesets and cases to use Quora Towershead effectively.
I'll also share the best battle I fought and won using Quora Towershead as the main card of the team.

So without further ado, let's start.

THE LORE

The family Towershead is a simple, mountain-dwelling clan from the upper Seed Mountains of Anumun. While the family has a long and rich history of involvement in the development of Lyveria and the Maglarian Reformation, sunset has fallen on their line. Quora’s parents, Kurion and Hija, have never had a son, and they have grown old. Although they continue to try, it seems that destiny does not wish for a male heir to carry on their family name. Quora will one day be the last of her clan. Although the name of Towershead will vanish, it will be up to only her to pass on the warriors’ blood that flows in her veins. At 24, she is not eager to go find a husband, but because of her ferocity in battle, her father Kurion has presented a plan in which she has found favor.

On the Towershead trio’s most recent trip to Lyveria, where they must venture once every five years for medical supplies, they discovered a posting in the central square that caught Kurion’s attention. It was a call for Gladiators to Mount Mox. These Gladiators would be professional fighters in the arena, warriors in a new form of civilized combat to ensure the ongoing peace in the Splinterlands. They would fight daily under the magical protection of the sacred arena grounds. While the pain would be very real with each battle, the Gladiators would be placed in no true danger. Instead, the magical protection would allow them to be physically renewed every time they left the circle of combat, even if they were slain. This would allow the Gladiators’ Camp professional duelists to fight one another again and again in real battle, which the audience has always craved, but without sacrificing brave warriors to lasting injury and death.

Kurion did not mention his idea until after the family had arrived back safely to their mountain home. “Quora,” he said, “your mother and I have grown old, and our hope is nearly lost that a male child will be born to carry on the Towershead name. If you enlist in this new Gladiators’ combat, you will become a celebrity in the eyes of the world, and you will someday find a powerful warrior mate and fall in love.”

“It’s true that I long for combat and adventure, but I do not wish to marry,” Quora replied to the old man.

“And we honor that decision, which is always yours to make,” Quora’s mother assured her. “But go nonetheless. Find the adventure and combat that you have always sought, and know that you will face the world with our blessing. After a year’s time, we will still be here, awaiting your arrival home with open arms.”

“Your mother speaks truly, Quora,” her father said. “There is nothing you could do in the world that would make us less proud of you as a daughter, or less proud of what the Towersheads of history have done for Anumun. But we have a simple life here, and your mother and I can take care of ourselves for many more years. It is time for your life to begin.”

Quora was afraid, but at length she decided to follow the wishes of her parents, facing her fear as they had taught her. She packed for a one-way trip lightly, knowing that the Gloridax would provide the essentials of living in the Gladiator camp and knowing that she would be accepted. Her skills in single combat were unmatched by any warrior of Lyveria; she knew this in her heart.

Once she was aboard the ship as it sailed away toward Praetoria and could no longer see her mother and father waving in the mist, Quora (through teary eyes) could not help but grin in delighted anticipation of the adventures that awaited in the shadow of Mount Mox on the Wizards’ continent.

BATTLE STATS AND ABILITIES OF THE QUORA TOWERSHEAD

Before I share my strategy and the battle, let's talk about the stats and abilities of this card.

Quora stats.png

The Quora Towershead is an Epic Earth unit card from the Gladiator edition.
This card has a combo of melee and magic attacks that costs 10 mana to use in the battle which makes this card a high-mana-cost card.
Talking about the abilities, this monster has some incredible abilities. In levels 1 and 2, it has 'bloodlust, and 'heal' abilities
The next ability, 'immunity' applies in level 3. The final ability, 'dispel' gets activated at level 5.
This card's stats also increase through levels as below -
Level 1: 2 melee attacks, 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 11 health
Level 2: 2 melee attacks, 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 12 health
Level 3: 2 melee attacks, 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 12 health
Level 4: 2 melee attacks, 2 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 13 health

The Best Ways To Use Quora Towershead Effectively

It may cost a bit more mana to use, but Quora Towershead is a powerpack card and perfect for any mid-to-high 40+ mana cap battles. The only downside is that you have a limited choice of summoner to use with it. You have to use either Lobb Lowland or Helios Matriarch unless there's the 'Are You Not Entertained' ruleset active.

I, personally, use it with the Obsidian as the summoner when the 'Are You Not Entertained' is active in ranked battles and in the brawls too. I generally placed it in the first position and backed up it with at least one 'tank heal' card.
It turns into a beast, once the 'bloodlust' gets activated.

I shared a similar battle below where I used the Obsidian as the summoner. Have a look...

Key Points Of This Battle

Quora Towershead did an excellent job as a tank and the main attacker of the team. As you can see, I almost lost Quora as she had only 1 HP at some point.
But thanks to Wood Nymph and the 'bloodlust' ability, she regains her full health.
I only lost Oaken Behemoth in this battle and the remaining team was intact. The killer combo of 'bloodlust', 'heal' and, 'tank heal' bring home the winning.
