Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets : Explosive Weaponry | Let's Have Some Blast... Literally...

Hello there my Splinterlands Fam.
How are you today.? I hope you all are doing great.

With retiring the Share Your Battle weekly challenge, the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge is live. I must say, the new challenge is much more competitive and challenging because it's not about a card but about a specific ruleset. And you have to fight more battles to pick one to share. Because not every time you will get the desired ruleset. Then again, it's not sure that you'll win that battle.
It's tough but it's fun writing though. I surely will miss the old Share Your Battle challenge.

This is the 11th week of this challenge and this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge is about the Explosive Weaponry ruleset.

Just like the previous challenges in this blog, I'll discuss about the Explosive Weaponry ruleset and share the best battle playing in this ruleset.
So, read on...

A Few Words About The Explosive Weaponry Ruleset

explosive-weaponry.png

Explosive Weaponry AKA 'blast' ruleset because in this ruleset, all monsters have the 'blast' ability.

Speed is the most crucial factor in this ruleset. If you can land the first few attacks on your enemy, it may be possible that the adjacent monster/s of the target monster will also get destroyed.

Using a combination of 'neak' 'snipe' and 'opportunity' monsters is also a good idea as it can deal damages to the overall enemy team and not only the monsters in the first and second positions.

A very good strategy here is to use a 'taunt' monster in the first or last position and place a 'reflection shield' monster next to it so the remaining monsters of your team be safe.
If you place the 'taunt' monster in the first place, it's a good idea to back up him with one or two 'tank heal' monster/s.

Mt preferred strategy in this ruleset is to make my team super fast so that they can destroy the enemy monsters before they can make an attack.
I shared a similar battle below.

THE BATTLE

Now I'm sharing my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won while the Explosive Weaponry ruleset is active.

RULESETS

Mana Cap: 31
Rulesets:-
Explosive Weaponry: All Monsters have the Blast ability.
Active Splinters: Fire, Water, Earth, Life.

My Strategy and Team Setup

SUMMONER

Alric Stormbringer

When playing with the magic attack-based team from the water splinter, Alric Stormbringer is my favorite summoner. I thought to use the Kelya Frendul first to make my team faster with her +1 speed buff, later I changed my thought.

Team Setup

As I said earlier, speed is the most crucial factor in this ruleset, so I made sure to use the faster magic attack monsters. Then again using 2 'swiftness' monsters, I made my team as fast as it can be.
The Djinn Oshannus was the obvious choice for the tank not only for his high health but for its speed also.
Next, there was the Tide Biter in the second position. He is the most important monster of the entire team because he will protect the team monsters from the 'blast' damage with his 'reflection shield' ability.
In the third position, I placed the Torrent Fiend, a filler card to soak at least one blast damage.
The Spirit Miner and the Ruler of the Seas, the two 'swiftness' monsters were in the fourth and fifth position.
In the last position, there was the Venari Wavesmith to provide +2 armor to the friendly team to provide extra protection if the enemy use any melee attack.

Now, that my team is ready, let's charge into the battle.

Analysis Of The Key Factors Of The Battle

Though my enemy used almost the same strategy as me, I had two advantages in this battle. First, my enemy was low level and second the speed advantage, my team was faster than the enemy team.
The Djinn Oshannus as a tank did great and the Tide Biter played the crucial role of 'blast savior', you can call him that.
The four of my magic attack monsters dealt big damage to the enemy team and my enemy didn't get a chance against my super fast, attacking team.
It was an easy win that was only made possible with a good strategy.

Thanks for sharing! - @cieliss

Excellent battle and lineup, I use this splinter and those cards a lot to play with and they almost always work in Explosive Weaponry.
