Another week has come upon us which means that there is another battle Mage Secret to play! This time around we will be conquering the Healed Out Ruleset. We will try to understand what this ruleset will mean to us what it takes to win a battle under these circumstances. In the end we will take a look at an example battle which we were able to win!

Healed Out Ruleset!

Let’s start off with understanding the ruleset itself. The healed out ruleset is basically removing every Ability that has to do with healing. This means that Self Heal, Tank Heal as well as Triage are no longer available to the monsters that do have it. What does this mean to us? Well, we still can use these units, but there Ability to Heal is basically turned off. This also begs the questions whether these units are worth using anymore since there are probably very similar units out there with still a functioning ability.

Strategy & Cards Used

This brings us to the cards that we should be using in these battles. Well, I decided to go with the Death Splinter this time. As the Death splinter is known to be very health reducing I decided to give it a shot with an all out demolish strategy. Usually, the Death summoner would reduce the health of the enemy’s units but in this occasion the summoner Abilities were turned off as well.

Alright, so what was the think process behind the selection of the units? Well, first and foremost, we should use units that have a good amount of health since we can not restore it. A good example is the Cursed Windeku with 10 health! This will take our opponent a little while to reduce to zero. On top of that there are pretty balanced cards in the death Splinter such as the Silent Sha-Vi which has a good portion of health combined with a good speed and great attacking values. This way we are still able to deal a good amount of damage!

Last but not least, we should increase the amount of damage that we are able to take. There are several ways od doing that. One of them is healing which is obviously turned off with the mentioned ruleset. Another one would be armor! While the Death units are not known to have an excessive amount of Armor, we can provide them some with the Protect ability! Such ability is possessed by Ravenhood Warden! While this card might not be the best in stats it provides very important protection to our other units which will help us win the battle in the end!

Example Battle

Going into the battle we were up against a very solid water team! With Djinn Oshannus and Deeplurker, our opponent had two very solid cards that are deadly on their own. His problem was that his Deeplurker was highly ineffective against my buffer cards that we build in. With 3 cards on low health and 2 armor, we were able to counter the Opportunity ability of the Deeplurker while attacking his team from the back with our Sneak Card. On the front end we had our cursed Windeku standing its ground against Oshannus. With both having 2 attack and 10 health it was a very equal match up. In the end our Sneak monster combined with the good amount of health and armor were the determining factors to win us this battle once again!
