Splinterlands - Card ShowCase - Tatiana Blayde

In this specific episode I wanted to talk about a very special card that I really started to like over the course of the past weeks. I am talking about Tatiana Blayde. In this episode I will introduce this card to all the new people and try to showcase why cards such as this are really important for the game. Furthermore, we will take a look at an example battle that we managed to win with the exact properties that I will show case! Tatiana Blayde

Let’s take an immediate look at the card in the spot light: Tatiana Blayde. What stands out for me until this day is obviously the double attack type! A ranged and Melee attacker. This means she will definitely be able to attack from any position at any round of the game. On top of that she has the Close Range Ability which allows her to basically use both attacking styles in the first position or whenever Melee attacks are allowed from the back line. This makes her incredibly valuable in the long run of a battle.

On top of that she already comes with a base speed of 5 which is one of the highest values in the game in general. This already makes her a very hard target for other units. Not only that but on the second level she will also get the Dodge ability which will make it even harder to get a hit on her! Speaking of hard to hit: This card has another very heavy advantage: She has the Bloodlust Ability!

Well, every time this units destroys another unit all of her stats get boosted. This means that not only is she getting faster and gets more health but she also gets her attack boosted. And you already guest it: both of her attacking styles are getting boosted! Now this will just snowball into an effect that hardly anyone can stop! On top of that she also gets two more pretty cool abilities that might help in higher leagues but are definitely not necessary in the lower ones. The Inspire and True Strike Abilities make this card an incredible addition to any team and are definitely worth investing in but like I said, in the lower leagues in which we are currently competing in, these values are just cosmetics at that point.

Chose Your Teammates!

Before we jump into the battle itself we need to choose the team around Tatiana. Well, since the upcoming battle has basically no limits, I chose to go crazy! Not only are we having some crazy cards in there but they are also stacked with Abilities themselves. On top of that we chose the Dragon summoner that grants us additional speed which helps us to get an early advantage in the attack order.

My selection was to get my two favorite Djinns: Oshannus and Chwala! While Chwala is a very good tank with the Thorns Ability and 3 Melee Attack, Oshannus is just an all-rounder with 2 magic attack and an amazing speed. On top of that he has the Void ability which allows him to be very strong against Magic attacks himself. Further down the team we included Chaos Dragon that is just a good choice overall thanks to his 3 Magic attack and Scatter Shot ability as well as Arkemis the bear who is giving us additional Armor to all of our units. Last but not least we filled the team with Berix Snakeye because of his good amount of Ranged Damage!

Example Battle

Going into the battle, we are facing a very strong set of cards! In general Water teams are very strong at the moment and with the good amount of leveling that our opponent has been doing, this battle seemed to be very tight. The early rounds were very even and he managed to our tank rather quickly, but so did we! Not only that but Osahnnus and Berix have fallen really quickly after. On the brighter side, Tatiana was able to get her first kill which meant that her stats got boosted straight away. The last few rounds seemed to go into the favor of our opponent. This was until Tatiana stepped into the first position! Not only were she managing to dodge almost every melee attack but she was able to get rid of the rest of the team which resulted in an immensely boosted card at the end!
