Common Cards

Let’s start off nice and easy with the common cards in this selection. The first one being the Possessed Puppet. A very interesting card that could get a lot of use-cases in the future. On the face of it, it looks not really spectacular. 2 attack with 3 speed and 3 health for 7 mana? No thank you! Even with the Double strike Ability, it’s health is just too low for a tank. But with certain rulesets, this card gets all of a sudden very usable. Not only the Equalizer rule set would benefit this card but also any kind of melee attacking buffs such as Sneak or Opportunity. All in all this card has potential at the right moments which makes this card a very valid common card in the Death Splinter.

Next up we have the Wily Coyotian. This card I smore of a filler card to me since it is also a Melee card without any special abilities. On the other side it has 1 armor and 2 health for just 2 mana. I think that this card is especially valuable if there is not a big mana abundance for a battle and can be very well suited to give other cards more time on the battle field. On top of that, I think this card has some potential of being a good tank in the low mana rulesets.

Rare Card

With the commons out of the way, let’s move on to the more top tier cards in this Splinter. Starting with the Ravenhood Warden. This card is actually a very great addition to this Splinter. Not only does it give all other cards additional armor but on higher levels it even buffs all Melee cards. Because it is a Ranged attacker, it can be placed in the backline and still attack and with only the cost of 4 mana is very affordable. Especially in combination with the Cursed Windeku, this card is a very good addition to this element although it lacks a little bit of health and attacking power. This card can be considered a classic support card.

Epic Card

Talking about support cards, the next one is a very interesting one! For 6 mana you are able to play the Will-O-Wisp. What ever this thing is supposed to be, it looks like an amazing card! Not only does it have the Flying Ability but it also comes with the weaken Ability. This means that if you play this card with one of the recently added Chaos Legion Summoners, you will get a 2 health advantage on your opponent! This is especially powerful in ruleset like Poison or Earthquake. On top of that, this card comes with 9 health and is nerfing all magic monsters from level 4 on. In general this card can be considered very strong and it will become even stronger if we combine it with the legendary card that has the Weapons training Ability. Because it will have the Magic attacking style, this combination has the potential to be very powerful in the future. I am very glad I was able to pull this card already!

Legendary Cards

Moving on to the crème de la crème of cards and with that to the probably best card in the complete set: Skok Duskblight (what a name :D). This card is costing us 8 mana and looks amazing. Not only its artwork is terrifying and Death Splinter worthy but also its stats. As a magic attacker, having 2 magic attack is already very great. On top of that this card is having 7 health and 2 speed which is a very good amount. With the Weapons training ability we are able to combine cards without any attack and basically increase our attacking force. The best combination for this is probably with the Will-O-Wisp that we recently talked about and either the new Clockwork Aide that increases our speed or Riftwing who is just a very great card on its own. No matter which combination you choose, it will be very powerful, there is no doubt about this. As a cherry on top, this card is also getting the Furry and the Resurrect Ability with higher levels which will increase its battle worth substantially.

Last but not least, there is another Magic attacker in this set. Usut is a very Dragon like form that I would have expected in the Dragon Splinter. Well it looks like it was dead before so maybe the death Splinter is also not the worst place to put it. Anyways, like the previous card, this card comes with two magic attack which is already extremely powerful. For 10 mana we are getting 4 armor and 9 health as well. This card lacks speed but has the Bloodlust Ability which will make it stronger with each kill. Due to the fact that this card comes with 2 magic attack, this is actually a very great way of scaling this card up. Additionally to its Flying ability it is also getting the self healing ability with higher levels which will make this card just unbeatable. I think with the last 3 cards combined in one team, the death Splinter will become very hard to beat!
