Magic Reflex + Amplify, a potentially deadly combo! | Curious Battles 65#

As it is in the title Magic Reflex + Amplify can be a potentially deadly combo and this curious battle that I share with you today is testimony to that. The large amount of magic damage on the opposing team was their Achilles heel, even more so with the blast that Yodin Zaku provided.

Efreet Elder was at the front of the enemy lineup, this wizard stands out for his ability "Last Stand", which allows him to boost himself a lot when he is the last one on the battlefield. However, he did not get to activate it because he fell before this condition was fulfilled.

The number of mages on the field was abysmal due to the fact that there was a condition that all of them had thorns, so the physical attack was unwise. There were also quite a few archers.

Will-o-Wisp was my initial tank, since his ability to reduce the life of all opposing creatures by one point added to his flight, thorns and magic reflex (these last two were not his own but due to the summoner and the battle condition), made him an excellent candidate to be a wall.

To make it even more functional, Cabalist's support with Amplify was present, so that the magic reflex was more damaging. By turn 1, Efreet Elder had already fallen, just for all the punishment received. The coup de grace was delivered by the Lich.

In the second position Djinn Apprentice was aggressive supporting the magic offensive. His "blast" helped him to damage not only the tank but also the one behind him, Witch of Warwick, however, this condemned him, as he received double damage from the Magic Reflec.

Witch of Warwick managed to gain some life and by the second turn she accumulated her first charge of Bloodlust, however, she received a lot of damage from the blast. Leaving her at 1 life point for the 2th round, but she soon recovered a bit by her life steal, thus avoiding her downfall.

A technology lover and a former Lich were who covered the third place in their respective teams. The Stun carrier was not bad at all, as the blast he received was well used, however he was knocked down by Boogeyman in the second round.

The Lich, on the other hand, did not stop accumulating and losing life due to his Life Leech and the enemy blast. His magical reflex, courtesy of the summoner, enabled Sorriel to fall down by hurting him.

Cabalist and Sorriel The Bale, were in the fourth position in their respective lineups. The legendary demonic knew how to take advantage of his double hit to hurt the tank a lot, but it was that characteristic that condemned him faster because the magic reflex had no mercy with him, even more with the Cabalist's aplification that made him more lethal.

In the rear were an archer and a small imp on the opposing team, both with little damage, however, the archer was boosted by the ability of Yodin Zaku. But this was not enough as one fell by the magic reflex and the other by the Lich's blow.

For my part Boogeyman and Death Elemental covered the rear, one slowing and damaging a lot and the other taking advantage of his snipe to prioritize the objectives well.

Extra Curious facts:

I consider that if I had used more archers, Yodin Zaku would have been much more effective in this battle, because my magic reflex would not have been of much use, the thorns would not have had much effect but the damage boost of archers + the blast, would have been more effective.
