Magicians, martyrs and mercenaries!- Weekly Battle Challenge

Hey, here I come back with another battle to share, this time with the "equal opportunity" condition at the center. For this occasion, a martyr and a mercenary attracted a lot of attention!

At the front two well-known tanks face each other. The tough Mycelic Infantry, with its characteristic "shield" that gives it firmness on the battlefield, since it resists physical attacks better. This tank was in both teams, at the same level, speed and stats in general, except for the attack, because one of my cards reduced the opponent's attack.

For the second place, of course, the beloved unicorn returns. Although the battle was going to be full of physical attacks and that would leave aside his "void" ability, I still put him in that position in case a mage with power appeared and... I wasn't wrong, there were two mages, so it was an excellent move.

On the other hand, my opponent in this match chose Hill Giant, a card with little mana, but good stats. Excellent as a small tank to give some time to his team or to be key in the defense in case of low mana battles or with basic card conditions.

In the third position, the demoralizer, known as Disintegrator, capable of reducing the enemy team's attack, was my chosen card to support the offensive and defensive at the same time. It was excellent for giving Mycelic Infantry a head start and reducing the ravages of Hill Giant and Venari Knifer.

For that position, there was precisely that mistress of knives, with 3 damage (2 for the debuff), 5 speed and also Thorns, despite not being accompanied by Mylor as a summoner, she had Thorns as her own ability. In my case I had the support of the master of the thorns, which helped to tilt the balance in my favor. Although in all honesty, the enemy mages almost tipped things towards my total defeat.

For the fourth place, Regal Peryton, was the creature chosen by my rival, this one was boosted by Obsidian and then by the little martyr mushroom, which brought its speed and attack to a level that almost left me out of the victory if it wasn't for the mercenary of my team.

Regal Peryton opened by finishing off the little Furious Chiken, who was at the bottom of my lineup. It was by round 2 that he reached the peak of his power, after the fall of Fungus Flinger. The opportunism did not cease as his attacks were not wasted.

Pelacor Mercenary was my champion of choice, and never better said, for it was he who delivered the coup de grace to the last one standing of the opposing team. I have this mercenary in his golden edition because I took advantage of the fact that at the time he was quite affordable, so I bought him.

At the end was the camouflage-loving Djinn, a magician par excellence and a legend among the rewards cards. Next to him, Fungus Flinger, the martyr who empowered him and also gave power to Regal Peryton. This little guy is already a classic in several strategies, as his martyrdom gives such a considerable buff that sometimes turns around almost lost games.

In my rearguard was Furious Chicken, who managed to tank an attack at the beginning of the game, thus fulfilling his support as a small barrier.

Curious fact:

Despite the small advantage in damage, in the end both Mycelic Infantry fell in the same turn, in a poetic double Knock Out that I managed to capture. As another curiosity, Pelacor Mercenary resisted until the end with only his armor damaged, but with all his health points.
