Chaos Legion Descended Upon Us! Doctor Blight Is a Beast!

The day has come! Chaos Legion is HERE!

I only opened 10 packs so far, ONE BY ONE, to maximize the drama effect. :)

I'm pleased with the results so far on the legendaries side, I pulled 4 of them, 2 in the first packs opened. That's 4 out of 50 or 1 out of 12.5, which I suppose it's quite decent.

Not so lucky on the gold foil cards, only 1 so far. So I guess it compensates.

Two of the legendaries I found in my opened packs are the zero-mana fieds for the Earth and Life splinters:

I also pulled one of the most interesting legendaries from the Chaos Legion, in my opinion, the Ifrit Rising from Fire, featuring the new ability Recharge. Can't wait to test it, even at level 1! :)

What monsters with Recharge do is attack every other round, but at x3 of their power. Ifrit Rising has 2 magic attack at level 1, which means when recharge kicks in, he will attack with a x6 magic attack!

From level 2, Ifrit has a x3 magic attack, which means x9 magic attack when recharged. Insane magic damage!

The drawback of this monster is that he is VERY vulnerable to magic reflect, and it is mostly inneffective against monsters with Forcefield.

And now we get to the mad doctor.

I was guaranteed 6 Doctor Blight cards airdropped for my packs bought during the presale. I had a nice surprise and received 8 instead. So only needed 3 more to max him!

Guess what I've done, lol! It's obvious, right? I don't have it maxed yet, because I made the mistake to rent out 2 of the Doctor Blight cards after upgrading to level 3 and before buying the remaining 3 cards. But I cancelled the rentals, and tommorow I'll have a maxed Doctor Blight.

By the way, the price keeps going up, up, up. If you want to buy him now it's the time.

Remember! All Doctor Blight cards have already been distributed! There are none to be found in the packs.

From the time it was initially presented, Slow was replaced with Camouflage, as one of the two base abilities available right at level 1.

Even if Slow is a debuff for the opponent team (unless it's a Reverse Order ruleset, in which case, it's a buff), Camouflage is a much better choice. It gives Doctor Blight the chance to build his health via Scavanger, without being directly attacked. Blast and Poison/Earthquake do affect him though.

I played my DQ today after upgrading Doctor Blight to level 3. I had Death as my DQ. Without varying at all (so my opponents knew I was playing Death), I won 5 out of 7 fights, and Doctor Blight was a major factor in each win. I believe Camouflage took many by surprise on Doctor Blight. I didn't know about it either before this morning.

Obviously Doctor Blight is a neutral card so he can show up on most combinations of splinters and daily quests, except when neutrals are not allowed. Including in the ruleset that allows only cards of maximum 4 mana to play.

That's a VERY versatile card. Can fit almost everywhere and can make the difference because he has an entire collection of powerful abilities.

I believe he is currently highly underpriced, given the scarcity. I see a price with four figures for this card at some point. But maybe I'm wrong.

You pulled some nice cards! I planned to open 10 packs... and finally I opened 30 lol. I had 2 legendaries in one single pack. I had a couple of GF but all common ones. I bought my packs over he, so I didn't get any doctor but I was tempted to buy one at 120$...

Lol, I opened exactly 30 packs yesterday too!

But the others from 11 to 30 that I opened later in the day were less rewarding. So, in the end, it's an average. I just got lucky early on.

I could have bought Doctor Blight at $100, but I wasn't decided then and by the time I bought them they were $120. An hour later they were almost $150, then the price slowly pulled back. I still believe they are underpriced, but time will tell.
