This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.

52-Week HBD Savings Challenge

A 52-week challenge following the popular model starts slowly and becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing week. The challenge is not at the beginning but at the end. That's why, we can use the easy start to prepare for the tougher weeks ahead.

In my case, I started with 1 HBD in week 1. This is also the step with which the amount that needs to be saved increases every week. The rule is, in my case: I need to add to savings the amount of HBD per week equal to the week number in the challenge. That means, in week 52 I'll need to save 52 HBD.

Week 3 - I added 3 HBD to the savings. However, you will see that's not entirely true... :)

Here's how things look right now (nothing spectacular so far):

Yeah, as you can see I can't follow simple instructions, and added more HBD, and now I'm withdrawing the excess 1 HBD.

Next week it's 4 HBD. If my author rewards were the same as this week, it would be the first week when I use for the challenge all HBD from author rewards that I don't buy HIVE with, so no saving HBD on the side for future weeks, already... And the HIVE I've purchased hasn't gone up in price either, quite the opposite.

Posting & Commenting Goal

Quite a difficult week for my activity-based goals, due to my sickness. I'm still feeling weak and get tired often, but it's better than last week.

Nonetheless, I managed to post every day of the week, even though maybe the quality dropped to some degree (the length of posts did for sure). I wasn't able to keep the comments made up there, but it's only the second week, and hopefully, I'll get back above the threshold.

Here's the situation so far:

I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1669, with 336 left to hit the target in 2024. That puts the progress at 4% where 3.85% was needed to be in the green.

I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses either, since it's also part of this goal. You can imagine it wasn't easy to make it this week...

I started the week with 17,173 comments made. Ended the week with 17248, which means I made 75 comments last week, below the weekly average I need to reach the comments target by the end of the year.

I currently need an average of 96 comments weekly to reach the comments target by the end of the year. I need to be careful with this one!

Land Plots Unlocked

Started the week with 31 plots unlocked and productive and 2 under construction. I added 2 more plots under construction. Right now, this is the plan: start building the worksite on 2 new plots per week. Some weeks I might settle with 1 worksite started and 1 where cards are upgraded.

For the accounting part of this goal, I'll add plots under construction as unlocked, to better see changes from week to week, even though, technically, they are not productive until the clearing part is finished and you feed the workers.

Here's the current situation:

And a more detailed view:
Productive Plots: 31
Under Construction: 4

ZING Multiplier

I started the week with 13,041 ZING (or ZING-worth tokens - I calculate the SWAP.HIVE part of the diesel pool here since I haven't added any outside SWAP.HIVE, it's just ZING swapped to SWAP.HIVE to be pooled to ZING).

My ZING holdings are now at 14,343 although yesterday at some point it seemed I may end the week with fewer ZING than last week if I didn't make any mistakes... The risks of impermanent loss, which is true, only become permanent by selling the position... Like if I'd need ZING in the game.

Regardless, I decided to slowly take a more balanced approach.

Here's the current situation:

LEO Staked

Coincidentally, today is also LPUD. I wanted to stake 200 LEO today and wrap up my 300 staking goal for January. Right up to the last minute, I was around 5 LEO short of doing that. In fact, I powered up only 150 LEO, thinking I didn't have 200. After a final check, it looks like some author/curation rewards came in and I had another full 50 to stake, which I did.

So, in the end, the total power-up today is 200 LEO, and with 100 the week before, we have 300. That means at least the two next weeks, I won't stake any more LEO, according to my plan.

Here's the current situation:

Waiting to see who gets my 3k LEO delegation for participating in LPUD today. Happy LPUD!

I love the fact that you usually challenge yourself so you can actually get what you want
It makes a lot of sense though
I wish you well

What's a goal without a little challenge, huh? :)

The HBD challenge is looking more difficult this early on. If you aren't able to save up HBD this early for the later weeks, you might have to buy it via Hive. Or worse, put in more money from outside.

Yeah, I kind of expected a different evolution for HIVE, but yes, at some point I will likely use some HIVE to buy HBD. It is among my sources to fund the HBD challenge. Hopefully, by that time, HIVE won't still linger below 50 cents.

It looks like you are doing well despite feeling sick. I hope you get better soon and nice LPUD powerup.

Thanks. I probably could have handled a few things better last week if I could have been more active, but given the situation, it's probably the best outcome.

Thanks. Yep, both qualities are useful for achieving goals.
