My Hive Goals - Week 23, 2022
Am I impatient? It looks like defi farming accustomed me to frequent claiming/compounding, and I'm finding it quite difficult to look at my accruing HBD interest without claiming it for 30 days. Almost the same thing as waiting for the POLYCUB rewards lockup period to pass for 30 days. Also waiting for LISTNERDS to unstake (for much longer)...
But when I get that feeling, I'm getting over it. I know delayed gratification is better. :)
Luckily, this week I didn't have to wait anymore. At least for one of them.
HIVE Power and HBD Goals
It was time to claim my HBD interest. With something to learn from it and turn into a tip to share with people reading my posts too.
25.833 HBD interest was accrued during the last 30 days period, with 5.320 HBD more than last period, when interest was 20.513 HBD. That's 25.93% more.
At the end of May, I had 1613 HBD in savings, and one month earlier 1284 HBD. The percentual increase MoM was 25.62%. That's what justifies the higher interest paid this time. Since I add much more HBD every month than the interest paid to me, the influence of the interest on the balance increase is still negligible, but it will grow over time.
Here's the progress on my HIVE and HBD goals at this time:

Splintershards (SPS) Staked Goal
Another week when I staked 2000 SPS. If I continue this way, I'll have the goal completed by the time the airdrop is over.

I decided to add this overall situation, to better gauge my progress, because I still need to push hard on this goal:

I focused on maxing a few cheaper cards this week because I don't want to swap any SPS to DEC at these prices.
Besides the cards I maxed (Molten Ash Golem, Radiated Brute, Goblin Tower), I added other cards at good prices, but not enough to max them yet.

Prices have been ok for Tarsa (dropping with the market), but I didn't have enough DEC and, as I mentioned above, I don't want to swap any SPS for DEC at these prices.

Social Targets
I started the week with 8206 comments and 8502 replies.
And now I am at 8346 comments and 8667 replies. They are both above my targets of 81 comments and 76 replies weekly to reach 10k of each by the year's end, which is good!

Is there a point of HRD for the overall portfolio? HIVE and other assets may give better growth?
Both have their role to play, in my opinion.

I feel the same way about waiting to claim. Daily claiming is such a nice addition to my daily routine. Listnerds and CTP in the morning, SPS in the evening.

I claim my LISTENERS and CTP before I write my email every day. On Splinterlands, SPS is in the evening, but I often claim my vouchers multiple times a day if needed.

Great progress and I had to go check if my interest was claimable. It was and I collected like 13 HBD for my own use. I think your HBD will get there eventually and that interest amount will just continue to go up.

It certainly will, because I keep compounding it for now. But interesting the way you handle it, taking the interest and using it for a different purpose.

Good luck! Although, if you don't bring outside investments it will take a while. I've been here for over 4 years (and invested some funds too).
how much HP does it take for your upvote to have the weight that it does? Wondering how much I'll have to invest to give my own vote some value to encourage others' interaction
I vote comments with 20% weight and I have on this account (including the delegation from my other account) around 11000 HP.
You have some nice juicy numbers. I still hold too much liquid I think. It just feels good to have a little on hand just in case but I rarely do anything with it lol. I really want more hive so I will probably power the rest up and "Go For It!". I can't imagine me selling any.

I used to do that some time ago, but it proved not to be the best choice for me. I never did anything with it, not speculate dips, not trade, not sell pumps, so I decided they are best used powered up.

I think you're doing great! The only thing I can ever report on is Hive and Listnerds hehe. I wish I could do all the things you do. Ah, maybe one day!
But I get the impatience regarding some tokens/coins hehe. That being said, I always look forward to claiming my Listnerds, and won't go to bed before I do!
