Nice to See Those Land Rewards Rolling!

I know most people will be much happier when they'll see the land expansion released - including myself -, but I can't help to be happy seeing the SPS rewards for holding land starting to come in on a daily basis.

It's been a while since the SPS airdrop ended and we've witnessed land become much like an orphaned child that nobody wanted.

Those of us who stuck in there and held onto our pieces of land claims should be happier now. In part because the land rewards have recently started, in part because the price of land began to soar for that reason while not much else is, and in part because the land expansion will be coming... someday.

As you can see, I'm getting a nice chunk of SPS rewards for my land every day which are immediately staked, which is awesome!

At the same time as the SPS rewards for land, the rewards for holding Tower Defense packs started. In this case, I only have a couple of TD packs, so naturally, my reward isn't very consistent.

I made a little calculation, at 40 SPS per land plot per month, I'll get over 4000 SPS from land rewards per month. If they continue in this form - without the land gameplay, I mean - for three months (until mid-January), that's 12000 SPS. If they continue until March, that's 20k SPS. I don't want to think longer than that...

I believe Splinterlands needs land expansion. Badly. But waiting for it gets a little easier when you get paid for it.

I hope you started to get some juicy rewards after your long wait too.

More SPS supply. At this rate it is going to be hard to proactively purchase SPS.

The problem is that the price of DEC doesn't go up to the shop value as intended. If that would happen, a major burning mechanism for SPS would kick in.

Shop price is overpriced when you can get stuff cheaper on hive-engine 😂

There is a huge inventory in the secondary market to deplete before anyone would consider shop.

The issue I see is right now the daily chests are not very rewarding for the time spent.

I think here the bear market plays a role. Plus farmers who extract value and sell it as soon as they get it.

I think my land is being held in a pool, so I am guessing they will start distributing those rewards before too long.

The land rewards are automatically staked. I wonder if a solution to distribute them to participants will be through delegating land SPS rewards based on participation in the pool.

I am not sure how they are going to do it. I just know they need to make sure they do it. There would be lots of people upset if they don't. I only have the one land I own and seven that are part of the pool, so it shouldn't impact me too much. I just looked at my account and it says I have zero to claim, not sure what is up with that.

Do you have your plot that is not part of the pool in-game or on Hive-Engine? Because only in-game land is rewarded if I remember correctly.

Yes, it is sitting in my in-game wallet. It's no biggie. It might have auto-claimed already or something.

You can check your Currency Activity -> Unclaimed (Land) to see if you received any SPS land reward.

That's where I've got my screenshot from the post from.

Good to see that the team aren't just letting PLOTs sit there doing nothing at all any longer though :)

Congratulations on the land SPS and I do agree that the rewards have been a long time waiting. It's because it just hasn't been implemented and its been over a year. It makes you wonder how long land will take to come out.

I believe we might have land claiming and probably revealing by the end of the year. That's not the gameplay, but at least it's something. And those who have bought in pools will be able to split their plots (before revealing them).

Yep. I'm usually quite careful about adding links, which is time-consuming too. But this time it simply slipped my mind. I published the post without proofreading it or adding links, which is something I usually do at the end.
