Patience is a Virtue... Not Many Possess

... in unlimited supplies. ;)

I thought of myself as a rather patient individual. But let's see if that holds true.

I'll play a game on me. I'll just find some examples familiar to you as well, and add 1 point if I am patient or subtract 1 point if I am impatient about it, to see where I end up.

For example, I have no problem waiting being active through the bear market. That's a major gain for me over the last bear market. And a point for my patience.

I have no problem holding onto (and growing) my core assets. I suppose my Hive goals posts are a testament to that, at least for the assets in question from Hive. Another point for patience.

On my non-core assets, the situation is not as clear. I am not as patient, but I wouldn't go as far as to take a point. It could be a tie, depending on holdings, evolution, and alternatives.

Then, if we take individual projects and expected releases, I suppose everyone starts by being patient. The difference is "wen" we become impatient. :)

For example, about Hardfork 26, while I understand the various reasons for delaying it over time, I am kind of impatient: I want those RC delegations, which don't even need a hardfork. -1 point for patience.

Land expansion in Splinterlands is another thing I am impatient about. Enough to start adding land-based terms and definitions to SplinterGlossary already. :) Another lost point on patience.

I would list a few others, but I don't want to portray myself as too impatient. After all, we are getting close to 2 years since we are waiting for the land expansion already. And HF26 was initially planned for the beginning of the year...

Ok, I cheated with the results to end up neither patient nor impatient. But right now I feel rather impatient, lol.

Where do you stand with your patience reservoir?

Keep adding to Splinterglossary. It is vital to the future of Leofiance.

We are building a new defi model. This is what people need.

Yes we get impatient but we are the builders so we have to empathize with others. After all, why not 200 or 300 words for SplinterGlossary? The answer is we will get there, it will just take time.

I know. I have my moments of impatience, lol. But I know they are coming, and they are huge.

Yes, I'm waiting for Splinterlands too! Especially since there's no airdrop sps going on right now for them.(

Otherwise, my impatience is waiting for the return to the bulls...

You're literally so impatient that instead of sitting around and complaining about a lack of progress like everyone else, instead you've just started building yourself.

So impatient!! ;)

Well, to be honest, I think that grew my impatience, lol. To review - and add to SplinterGlossary - some of the stuff that we will eventually have in the land expansion, grew my excitement and impatience at the same time. Some of the details had already faded away from my memory since the original announcement, and it has been a great refresher.

Nice puzzle.
I fall a little on the impatient side.

I wouldn't have the patience to complete that one either, most likely. Luckily someone did and put it on Pixabay. But most likely it is a picture and a puzzle effect on it, lol.

I would say that I am impatient as well as I like to ask Wen something. However, I have been busy with work so I haven't been asking that lately.

Work is a VERY good way to bury your impatience.

I don't see it as you see it here, why deduct a point on this, you say you are impatient but did you do anything as an effect of this impatience?

As I see it you should deduct a point when you did a mistake or you did something wrong due to that impatience. If you don't act on your impatience then it is the same as being patient!

Yes, I did. I wrote about it, lol.

The activities that have developed patience and diligence in me most effectively are math and needlework. Both reward persistence. Both reward the person who doesn't give up till it is finished. I tell my math students they will get the right answer as long as they keep working, correcting mistakes, erasing, trying another strategy. Same with knitting. You have to keep making stitches until the whole sweater is done. The lessons apply to crypto as well. !CTP

Thanks for sharing your experience! As someone who has worked on countless math problems in my youth, I totally understand the perseverance required sometimes to reach the solution, and the satisfaction to achieve that.

I am getting better. My journey here on Hive is helping with exercising my patience muscle. There are other areas in my life where my patience wears thin more quickly. Like sitting in my car in traffic.

Yeah, I believe that can get to anyone.

For me, it's because I don't like being in my car that much. So if I have to be out driving around I want to be moving and getting where I need to be. Get out, get done, get home. 😀
