Get ready for more major stuff to happen on Splinterlands! The announcement for Conclave Arcana is around the corner and should drop very soon. If I were to guess, it will come a few hours before the Town Hall on Thursday (or maybe tomorrow), where I suppose the new set will be the main topic of discussion.
But guess what else we should be expected very soon... The first use case of Land for the rest of Splinterlands! More specifically, a new resource produced on land (not from the whitepaper!) that will be used to create an item needed outside Land and purchasable from the non-card market, so outside the Land game! That means we will have the first 100% player-produced new item in Splinterlands that Land owners can sell to other Splinterlands players. That's way before we will have item and spells on Land, likely in a few years time.

From 4 we find out that we will have a new item in the non-card market that will be created exclusively on Land.
From 5 & 6 we find out what you'll need to do to create the new item... There will be a new resource on Land (which @cryptomancer code-named "A" in his message), which will be produced by a new worksite.
The new worksite is already in internal testing...
Also, it seems like research is being prepared for something, if we look at points 1 & 2, and if we note the secretive answer he gave when he was specifically asked about research later on. I believe we will soon have a use case for research too.
I'm glad I focused quite a lot on Research before 1.75, when it was the cheapest to add those research points. It is still acceptable to add more research points compared to what will come in Land 2.0, when it will be almost impossible for mid-level land owners to add more to Research unless you focus specifically on that and use resources from the market.
For now, I'll hold on to making any more moves to my land plots before we have details on the new worksite/resource (by the way, it works on all land types) and item, to make better informed decisions then.

That's for Land 2.0, unless they introduce them quicker. But this one what cryptomancer talked about here is likely to come out very soon. While Land 2.0 is very far away.
Cool. A new worksite on Land means more ways to play. Land owners can sell stuff to other players, that's also good. Good time for players to check their plots !BBH
Active land owners should do that quite regularly now, probably.

100%! cryptomancer said it took him a few months to figure out how to add a new resource and worksite to the game, and now it should be possible in a few days, or maybe weeks. The bottleneck seems to be the UI now, which needs to be upgraded to support more resources and buildings.
Sounds like land has a big part to play in the new set too

Maybe... We don't have clear info at this time. We'll probably have them in the Town Hall, if land will play a role for CA.

Well... It's not real land. It is land plots within a game, but those land plots or resource marketplaces produce things that can be sold for profit.

We were tipped off a long time ago by @yabapmatt that Research will be extremely important.
That is true. That's why I focused on it. He also said it was a long-term thing. Others preferred to focus on the immediate rewards that could be sold into something with a market value at that time.
I could not focus on it myself because I didn't have enough DEC for Land. I did not sell the top and got wrecked in the bear market. I will do better in this cycle.
I only have about 1.4 or 1.5m DEC on land too. And to have max level cards on every plot, I need 5m DEC. Of course, older edition cards (especially GF) help, because they give a lot of PP at a lower grain requirement to feed the workers.
After the long time that land took to come out, I am glad to see it constantly get updated. I guess its a good thing that you focused on research.
Since I have a decent amount of land, I pay attention to details, and I am mostly long term oriented with that investment. That made me take pretty good actions at the right time (when it comes to land development, not price), rather than react to news.
I think this is the year after april 15 when i go for my idea i had a few years ago and finally execute it so i can get a bunch of packs and things for free and also form the investment group I wanted to form before my health got in the way have a really unique way to fund it and it wont cost anyone a thing but a little time every month to do and the hourly return is pretty good. I get about 100-600 a hour doing it and when im done with my website for it so ppl can utilize it and follow the process ill be getting even more loot from it that ill use 30% for me and 20% to incentivize the people to join the investment group with a bonus that comes from my earnings which are 50% and depending on how much they do determines the size of the bonus from 5% to 20%. Before i do it here going to get it going with ppl i know want to do it so I can just show proof of concept a lot easier as I found it is pretty hard on here to explain to ppl but showing them it working and ppl making a pretty nice sum of repeatable loot every year will likely get ppl to want to do it and participate in it. Not going to say what it is yet but will be interesting even if no one here does it bc there are plenty of ppl that will do it from my friends to people ive talked to about it and once they got it they were on board lol. Its basically a no brainer lol.
Doing that is prob the only way i can catch up to the larger players pretty fast in the game and not really risk any money i currently have lol.
