Weekly Battle Challenge (2) - Angelic Mandarin 🐸

In this battle, we will examine a level 1 Angelic Mandarin and its useful HP and attack points just for 3 mana!

You may question what effects can a single monster have but, trust me, Angelic is more than that!

Team Set Up.png

The team I had was based on 4 Melee Attack + 3 ranged attacks from Angelic and Swimhunter. Though I enjoy using Snipe, Sneak and opportunity attacks, this battle was a normal Bronze level battle which was based on a balanced team.

The team was scaffolded with high speed, +1 armor and heal ability. As I always emphasize, rent strong tanks that can protect the rest of your source of damage! In this case, I had 2 important ranged attackers to eliminate the tank of my rival.

Basically, Torhilo is a great fit for Bronze especially when we consider 1 magic attack of many attackers. So, you can easily stop magic attackers with the void. In terms of the other attack sources, protection and healing are crucial 😅

I use Angelic in the second position because I decided to utilize the healing + 5 HP that can keep my monsters alive during the battle. The biggest challenge was of course the missed attacks to Serpent of ELD.

Strengths Weaknessses.png

The team was not a deadlious one but obviously it was good enough to win the battle when you are limited to use 23 mana.

The inner balance is a must for Water teams as the monsters are neither as fearless as Fire monsters nor as protected as Life monsters. So, have a protection, got some healing, use high HP monsters (at least 2) and keep at least 1 source of damage (preferrably Magic, though).

The weakness of my team is that Angelic can be the last liner and the team could have 1 magic + 1 more ranged attacker which would make it easier to decrease the possibility of missed attacks. The lack of magic attack was too obvious and it would be devastating for my team.

Lastly, rather than 9 mana for Torhilo, 5+4 melee attackers who could be the tank and off-tank in the second position. In this scenario, Angelic would not be the source of protection, rather, it could be used for its ranged attack points!

Although heal worked fine to win the battle, I believe there could be more effective ways to set the team with a bunch of low-mana monsters that are functional for Water team sets.

Angelic is a great monster from the very first level. As the level raises up, its direct effects become more visible. I like this monster 😎

Please Watch the battle and share your suggestions. What is the best way to use Angelic Mandarin?
