Why level up?

When I started playing #Splinterlands, for half a year I didn't even realised card can be "better" with levelling up. Also, when I found out about this feature, I didn't know that I actually need higher level summoners in order to summon higher level cards.

Now that I know every basic thing about the game (and already some intermediate level tricks as well) I had to figure out how to actually get enough power to get out of Silver III league by my own cards.

At first I didn't even pay attention to the new reward cards since I was looking for golds and some high-class epics or legendaries on the market.

I saw these reward cards and I thought most of them are just simply junks, and I couldn't have been further from the truth. Reward cards now are amazing, and if I check back my untamed, even beta cards, rewards were always the most powerful commons, rares and epics from the whole collection.

And if I think back, untamed rewards were also selling for amazingly cheap when they were on print, some of those cards start to sell higher only by now. And I missed so many opportunities not to bulk-buy and upgrade them.

However, I also wasted a lot of time and Chaos Legion rewards, now I know the true possibilities these cards hold for me. I made a list of cards you and I better level up before the Chaos Legion arrives, since I know when it goes live I want to spend my money on cards from the packs, and not for the rewads I can have now as well.

You want these at least on level 4-5

Chain Spinner from Untamed, with Void Armor, 2 attack and 1 speed wich can be useful at reverse speed ruleset even at level one. When it's low mana, this is a great life tank to choose.

Now you can see that at level 4 it actually has 2 attack and 2 speed, along with 6(!!!) armor that is eligible against magic attack as well, and 3 max health points. This amazing card sells around 0.41$ at the moment. And it's been a lot cheaper 1-2 months before.

Demented Shark is still very undervalued, however it gained some value in the last two weeks. I used it for a long time on level one, but notice how fast and powerful it is on higher levels! And besides that, it also increases the power of all melee attack monsters. If that wasn't enough, you can have the "legendary"** thorns ability at level 6!** Demented Shark sells around 0.66$ at the moment.

And if we are mentioning thorns ability, take a look at Crystal Jaguar, which has thorns at level 4 already! These mini-Mylors rock! Currently sells around 1$ on the market, which means for 30$ you can have it at level 4.

And if you want to have thorns in your Death deck, too, let's upgrade you Giant Scorpion at level 5! Thorns being one of the most useful abilities can easily win you some DEC and it's good to have some of these monsters in each decks of yours. Now sells for 0.70$ / card.

Of course Djinn Chwala, one of our most belowed Chaos reward card (besides Djinn Oshannus) is also worth a mention, however it's already deadly at level one. If you can, you better upgrade it to level 2-3, before prices of this card go insane! For a bit higher cards than cards shown above, this card sells around 5.49$ at the moment. The good news, you need only 4 of them to play it at level 2.

If you love to play Armorsmith in your life deck, maybe along with the Shieldbearer and a heal monster, you'll also love Flame Monkey at level 5 - it's amazing what you get for that one mana point! Selling around 1.50$ per card.

Herbalist will clean every negative effects you may have on your monster in first position, and does that only on level 3, for just 2 mana points! Herbalist sells for 0.86$ per BCX.

A low-mana melee water monster with fly and sneak? Of couse you want it to have stronger AND faster at the same time, for extremely cheap now! Pelacor Bandit sells around 0.23$ per card currently.

I don't know why people are not into Nightmare as much as I am. Okay, that one attack can piss me off too, when the opponent monster has the shield ability, but if you upgrade it only for level 2, you already have two attacks, which is actually 3 if you count the blast in. With such a high max healt and speed, this monster can be The Tank of you death deck. Nightmare sells for 0.41$ moment!
