SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! DIEMONSHARK - Dodge dodge and more dodges!
DiemonShark is a 8 Mana Water rare unit. Below is its full stats from Level 1 to 10.
At level 1, it has a speed of 4 with 2 melee attack, 6 armor and 7 health points. It also has a Trample ability that allow it to do another attack if it killed a unit in its first attack. Its super fast speed and high armor makes it a frequently used unit as a first tank in non-magic battle.
By the time it reached level 4, it will have 3 melee attack and 4 speed and gain another ability, Enrage. With Enrage, DiemonShark melee attack could go to 5 and its speed would go to 6. This makes it a terrifying opponent that hit very hard and hard to be hit at.
At its max level, DiemonShark attack goes all the way to 4 and gain another ability, Retaliate. Retaliate means DiemonShark has a chance of hitting back when it is hit by a melee attack. This makes it a very fearsome unit in a melee only battle.
Next lets take a look at how DiemonShark will perform in the various rulesets:
Rulesets | DiemonShark |
🔮 Mana: 8,💗 Health: 7,🛡️ Armor: 6,⏩ Speed: 4 | |
👍Generally not very helpful as DiemonShark hardly ever miss in the first place because it is so fast. But it is helpful against flying and dodge units. | |
👍Extra protection is always good. | |
👎Not good as DiemonShark will lose its ability in this ruleset. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
No effect. | |
👎He will suffer 2 damage per round from Earthquake. | |
Neutral on this. Its health is already quite high. In most cases, I wouldn't use DiemonShark in this rulesets unless it is a high mana battle as well. | |
👍It can target and kill off low hp units very fast. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👍Its high attack with blast is deadly. | |
👎Cannot be deployed. | |
No effect on him. He doesn't have sneak or snipe in the first place. | |
👎Means he can't be healed. | |
👍Good if you got a unit with stun in your lineup. | |
👍Extra protection is always good. | |
👎Cannot be deployed. | |
👎Cannot be deployed. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👎Will suffer 2 damage from poison every round. | |
👎This is bad for DiemonShark. Will render its high speed to become a liability. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👍Great for DiemonShark. Its attack and speed will get 1.5 times multiplied if its health gets hit. | |
👍Can be crazily good for DiemonShark especially when the opponent has a couple of low hp units. DiemonShark can roll over all these units in a single round without stopping. | |
👍Allow DiemonShark to hit the opponent backline provided DiemonShark is not in the first position. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
No effect. | |
👎Bad as DiemonShark would lose its high armor. | |
👍Can be deployed. | |
👍Great ruleset to play DiemonShark. Now its armor can block magic attack. |
Finally lets take a look at a wild ranked match I had using DiemonShark as one of the unit in the setup. The battle restrictions are:
Spreading Fury and Lost Magic with a max mana limit of 48. The Video for the Full Battle can be seen here:

TEAM SETUP:
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Kelya Frendul | 4 | Summoner | Only Water splinter was allowed so I went for Kelya Frendul as this was a no magic unit match. |
Diemonshark | 8 | 1st | DiemonShark would be my main tank as Lost Magic was one of the ruleset. DiemonShark with its high armor and health should be able to withstand melee and ranged attack for a while. |
Flying Squid | 7 | 2nd | Flying Squid has Reached ability and I put it as my secondary tank. |
Demented Shark | 6 | 3rd | I placed Demented Shark in for its Inspire ability. With Inspire, all my melee units will gain +1 attack. |
Deeplurker | 6 | 4th | Putting Deeplurker in to pick out any dying opposing unit. |
Sand Worm | 9 | 5th | Sand Worm, with its high attack, would be useful to kill off enemy backline. |
Disintegrator | 7 | 6th | Since no magic units are allowed, I am expecting just melee and ranged units. Disintegrator's Demoralize ability would be able to decrease opposing melee attack by 1. |
Total Mana: | 47 |
Battle Lineup:
My opponent went with Kelya Frendul as well which was expected. However the lineup put up was a mixed ranged and melee setup. All of the opposing ranged units had Snipe ability but it was not useful as I didn't put up any ranged units. This means though all the opposing ranged attack would instead be targetted at my DiemonShark.
End of Round 1:
By the end of round 1 the opponent has lost one of its back ranged unit, Sniping Narwhal. Both of our DiemonShark were still holding very well. My DiemonShark managed to also dodge one of the ranged attack aim at it.
End of Round 2:
My Sand Worm got hit in the 2nd round giving it a melee and speed boost. Its melee attack is now a massive 8 damage and will killed off another of the opposing back unit next turn. Meanwhile both our DiemonShark still stood at the end of Round 2. This showed how tough DiemonShark are.
End of Round 3:
My DiemonShark got enraged in this round and had its speed increased to 8. It managed to dodge attack from the opposing Flying Squid and Mantoid. My opponent then went on to lose his/her DiemonShark and Mantoid.
End of Round 4:
My DiemonShark dodged another attack from the opposing Flying Squid again. By now my opponent should be super frustrated. My DiemonShark was unharmed this round but I lost my Sand Worm to the opposing Deeplurker.
End of Round 5:
Hahahahaha.... my opponent just can't seem to be able to hit my DiemonShark. I was laughing so hard. And now the opponent's Disintegrator is dead, my DiemonShark attack went up to 5!
End of Round 6:
Finally end my opponent's misery. I won because my DiemonShark dodged so many attacks after getting enraged.
KEY STRATEGY
My key strategy was to use Demented Shark to increase my melee units so they can crash through the opponent units while hoping my tanks can hold the frontline. It worked very well because my DiemonShark managed to hold and survived the entire battle.
CONCLUSION ON DIEMONSHARK
DiemonShark do has its weakness. As a tank it is vulnerable to magic attack. Frequently I would use Legionnaire Alvar instead as the tank as Alvar has Void Armor. But in cases where the ruleset is Lost Magic or Weak Magic, then DiemonShark is the clearly the superior unit to use.
