Analysis --> 11th full season in Splinterlands - Rewards and Stats (Silver I) + Season end Rewards and Stats for my alt account (Bronze I)

The end of the 3rd season of the new rewards system has come. I am still enjoying the way it works and I think it is actually pretty well-balanced overall. Here's what I got from my 71 Silver I chests:

10 Legendary Potions;
14 Alchemy Potions;
526 DEC;
a total of 24 cards - no legedaries or epics
1 pack

The rewards this time are a bit better than last season mainly due to the pack I got.

So far 13 days into the month and 210 chests later I have earned twice as much as what I earned for the whole month of June -$52.68. This is totally due tot the fact that I hit the proverbial jackpot 10 days ago getting a GF Djinn Oshannus in one of the daily chests.

First off it has to be noted that this season was a couple of days shorter than the previous one so we are not really comparing apples to apples. Still I find it more informative if the data from the two most recent seasons is used. I played almost 70 battles less than last season (as visible on the screenshots below) but I still got just one chest less than last season - 71 vs 72. This is mainly due to the fact that as you can see my win rate has improved by 0.25 which actually does make a difference. My longest streak was a bit longer than it was last season... streak size obviously does matter of course.

I did sign up for as many tourneys as possible this season but they do seem a bit less than the amount I had signed up for last season. It seems that there were just fewer tourneys the last two weeks.

So it seems the drop off was mainly in terms of DEC tourneys as the SPS I have earned even more than what I earned last season.

I have received a bit less cards this season as well as a bit less DEC, however, I got the aforementioned GF Djinn Oshannus as well as a pack while last season I "just" got 1 pack.

The DEC I've earned from playing is in line with the amount of battles this season compared to the last. Still a lot lower than what was earned before but I'm not complaining at all.

Last but not least as far as this account is concerned - the SPS Report. I have bought a significant amount of DEC to convert into pack after the airdrop is done. So this has influenced the DEC I get per day a lot compared to last season.

I currently get about 69 SPS per day from airdrops and 4.5 SPS from staking - so a total of ~ 73.50 SPS, which is 2 times more than last season. 😎

Let's see how the new system treats the poor ol' Bronze players or in this case my poor Bronze alt account.😁 Here's the breakdown of the screenshot containing 70 Bronze Chests:

a total of 20 cards - no legs or GFs (which is expected) but I did get 2 epics compared to 0 on my main; (13 cards less than last season)

So again the rewards are in line with the % distribution provided by the team.

Let's have a look at my total earnings for June on this account.

I am actually very pleased with what I have gotten so far for the month. Compared to what Bronze players used to get there is just no comparison actually.

The situation here is the same as the one on my main account. My win/loss ratio is close to what it was last season. The season high, however, is a couple of hundred rating lower. Probably one of the reasons why I got 1 less chests on my Bronze account than what I got on my main. It is normally the other way around.

I have received 28 cards less than last season but 72 is still a figure beyond the wildest dreams of Bronze players before the changes.

The wins to DEC earned is the same as last season more or less. I just play at lower ECR and maybe the DEC pool is a bit more depleted by more people playing. That's not an issue though at least as far as I'm concerned.
