Analysis --> 24th full season in Splinterlands - Rewards and Stats for my main and alt accounts

The end of the 15th season of the new rewards system has come. Here's what I got from my 52 Diamond chests (Expected Value: $9.56 --> Actual Value: $14.17):
  • 78 Alchemy Potions;
  • 73 Legendary Potions;
  • 258.49 SPS;
  • a total of 17 cards;
  • 378 merits;
  • 3 packs;

Last season I hit the proverbial jackpot with opening about 3K SPS in a single EOS chest and it was kind of expected that I would not manage to do that in two consecutive EOS openings, and that was exactly the case. Despite that I am still pleased with the fact that I got a few dollars more in value than expected because I have seen a lot worse in the last few months.

This is my 11th complete season in Gold league (with a jump into Diamond III/II/I) and I am pleased with the amount of chests I earned, especially having in mind that I was earning Diamond Season chests in Gold, however, this time around I got into Diamond as soon as I had enough rating to do so. I am still unsure if that is the best strategy for chest optimization or not.

And here's the summary for the whole season - 103 Diamond Chests and 51 Gold Chests (total value: $44.76):

  • 7 packs;
  • 328.21 SPS;
  • 54 cards - 3 epics; 1 GF Legendary; 1 GF common;
  • 2,489 Merits;
  • 174 Alchemy Potions;
  • 120 Legendary Potions;
  • 157.16 SPS from Battles; (EV: $4.28)
My EV for the season as a whole is also pretty good also thanks to the GF Harklaw I got in a chest a few days ago. This GF legendary is even more valuable since all these reward cards have just been rotated out and from now on we will be earning the 43 new soulbound reward cards. I am actually pretty excited about that since some of these cards are absolutely bonkers. I also got 7 packs this season compared to the last one where I had a total of .. 1.

Well my CL Gold-league-level deck is actually close to complete, however, as you can see, my actual Win Rate is getting progressively worse. That is due to the fact that I have begun jumping into Diamond as soon as possible but I have 0 Diamond-level cards so... I am back to square one in that area. I don't think I'm going to start leveling beyond Gold-level though. I don't have enough resources to support such an endeavor. Still I actually was at 111 rating away from Champion 3 at one point near the end of the season, and that is pretty insane to me. I actually could have gotten lucky enough to make it to Champ 3 with a deck with 0 maxed out cards. That should not happen because that really devalues deck progression in my humble opinion.

I did sign up for as many tourneys as possible, however, when I switched to Gold most of the silver tourneys and all of the bronze ones became unplayable for me due to the restrictive pricing for Gold level players. I had a few good placements this season.

I've received a total of 53 cards. 3 less than last season.

I got 7 packs this season opposed to only 1 last one and that's definitely noticeable.

I've earned a decent amount of SPS. It's unfortunate that I can't maintain a 50%+ win rate throughout the season. That would definitely help on this front.

The SPS report for this season is decent. It doesn't look as good as the last one but as I have already mentioned, it's all about luck and luck is not sustainable.

My rental report looks pretty good thanks to the service provided by Splex.gg. I'm renting only a few cards right now cause I have delegated most of my duplicates to a friend of mine whom I got to start playing the game recently. Not touching anything from my main deck though so about 4,321.49 DEC from the few cards is pretty nice, having in mind the rental market was rather dead for most of the season at least for the cards I'm renting out.

Let's see how the new system treats the poor ol'ex-Bronze players or in this case my poor ex-Bronze now more-so Silver/Gold-farming alt account.😁 Here's the breakdown of the screenshot containing 61 Gold Chests (EV: $5.05 -> AV: $3.72):
  • 71 Legendary Potions;
  • 53 Alchemy Potions;
  • 10.53 SPS;
  • a total of 25 cards; 1 leg;
  • 381 Merits;
  • 1 pack;

My actual value is about $1.3 lower than the EV, however, I've had it a lot worse, so I am content with the outcome.

Let's have a look at my total earnings for the whole season on this account for 153 Gold chests and 28 Silver for a total of $13.22.

  • 85.69 SPS;
  • 70 cards - 1 legendary;
  • 1159 Merits;
  • 157 Legendary potions;
  • 108 Alchemy potions;
  • 4 packs;
  • 70.47 SPS from Battles (EV: $1.94)

Again the EV for this amount of chests is $12.91 and I got about 2 bucks more than that so that's great.

I basically started playing in Silver and I jumped into Gold III as soon as possible. You can tell that by the fact that my win rate is below 50% on this account as well. I'm actually doing significantly better though, and I actually finished the season with enough rating to get into Diamond III but I figured I would not earn enough Diamond chests here for it to be worth it. I actually might reconsider for the next season if I get to Diamond territory again.
