This week in Splinterlands...

This week in Splinterlands was a bit more tame in terms of the amount of news we got but there are still a few interesting topics which deserve mentioning.

Let's start with the Town Hall on Monday. Matt did not attend this one so there wasn't any deep tokenomics talk. however, instead of Matt, they at least had the new Roadmap ready and shared it with the community. Here it is:

The Roadmap looks great, no doubt about that! Hopefully the team will manage to deliver most of the stuff on it in time.

They also had Nate on, so getting some eye candy is always fun. Here's what the process sketches for Arkemis the Bear look like:

Nate said that apart form the sketches, they also did a few alternate looks for every new card added to the game, which could eventually be used as skins in the game. This is what one such skin for Arkemis looks like:
)
It does really look pretty dope so I would definitely use it when/if skins gets released some day. I hope it will be sooner rather than later but we will see how much more dev resources the development of land will have to soak. We also got to see what the new abilities on the soulbound reward cards look like:

I'm really looking forward to trying out these abilities whenever the new cards are released, however, since they are soulbound, it will definitely take me quite a bit of time until I will be able to fully utilize them in Gold League.
Other than the eye-candy we had the usual bot talk, Weirdbeard shared some interesting stuff regarding gladiator ghost card tournaments, and repeated yet again that no bots in tournaments is one of the highest priorities for the team.

Next on the list is a very important and requested feature - SPS Governance - Community Proposals v1.

From now on every community member will be able to submit their DAO governance pre-proposal for the rest of the community to vote on for the price of DEC 100,000. They've set a price for that so people do not abuse the system. They said they could consider adjusting the price up or down depending on how they it went initially. The 100K DEC are burnt. Splex.gg and PeakMonsters have already come up with nice tools for people to track and vote on the community proposals. Here's how that looks in Splex:

Makes following and voting on these a lot easier for sure.

Another thing that got released this week was a post containing more detailed information regarding the Rebellion info released at Splinterfest. I am really excited for the new card art amplified by the more minimalistic borders as well as the fact that synergies between cards based on their card type will be introduced. That will definitely take the strategic part of the game to another level.

Here's a cool video about the evolution of the art style they've released:

And the comparison between the old (current) card frames:

And the Rebellion ones:

I definitely like the Rebellion ones a lot more. I only fear that they might be too good compared to old ones, so I wish they would change those as well but I know that won't happen.

Last but not least is interesting news which came out of the Mav Chat today where Aggroed said they were working on a potential mini-series pack promo. Here are the details from the man himself:

That could be pretty cool, indeed. Looking forward to it for sure!
