Yup, exactly as expected I did not have any luck and got exactly what I "deserved". Well there are two more airdrops and I'm planning to get 110 more RW packs so I am guaranteed at least 3 drops of each of those as well cause it seems that if I don't guarantee them, I won't get them...
Since we're on the topic of Sea Wreck anyway, let's remind everyone who might not be aware what Sea Wreck is:
As you can see it is a Monster which is considered a "Giant" since it costs 11 Mana. At level 1 it starts with Blood Lust and Return Fire. While Blood Lust is cool and often OP, I think it interferes a bit with the most appropriate use of the Sea Wreck, which would be battles with the Reverse Speed ruleset given the fact that the Monster has 1 Speed. At level 2, Spell Reflect is added to its arsenal and make Sea Wreck even more imposing to all types of Ranged Attackers. At level 3 it also gains "Heal" so that gives it a bit of sustain since it will surely need it being such a large target. Finally at level 4 it gains Amplify so if the Ranged Attackers somehow could survive up to now, now Amplifies guarantees they would face a bitter end. I really like the card in general, however, it is definitely not OP since it does not really have that much sustain - it does not have Void, Void Armor, or Shield, so while it will inflict a lot of pain to its attackers, it will also take the full amount of their damage, and that could be enough to get it down quickly, even before it manages to get one Heal off. Moreover, as I've mentioned in the begging, being a Giant makes it vulnerable to all Monsters with the Giant Killer ability so that could definitely "wreck" the Sea Wreck.
Another thing I want to note is that there are 1 new (in addition to the other 8 I showcased in previous posts) really cool post regarding the different Splinters of Splinterlands. Be sure to check it out, it is a really quick read:
- Kingdom of Grimbardun - https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinters-of-praetoria-kingdom-of-grimbardun
I definitely love the banner arts - really cool and distinctive.
And now for a quick recap of the Town Hall. It started with a short discussion with Investygator reagarding this week's maintenance. There wasn't anything particularly interesting but here's a summary of the planned fixes (source: Town Hall Summary post):
- General Updates
The timer on additional energy purchases now resets at midnight UTC, the same time that the daily focus ends.
Rolling a new Daily Focus will no longer reset your focus points, as the timer no longer resets after the change where all players focuses end at midnight UTC.
Cleaned up some text that had underlying links on our various e-mails that was causing some browsers to flag them as suspicious.
- Items Hotfixed into the Game Prior to the Release
Nothing this week.
The most important news which came out of the TH was Weirdbeard's showcase of how land works in practice, he did a thorough walk-through of most functions and it is definitely 100% worth checking out if you are planning to "play" the land "game".
Here is the relevant part - I've linked it starting at the 12th minute of the video:
