Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! - Shades of Gray (ENG/ITA)

Hello to all Splinterlands friends!!!

Since the second edition, Beta, where the Neutral element was introduced, I have always been drawn to this type of card because they can almost always be used with any summoner and can solve difficult situations when you lack a specific monster from a particular element for the current match's ruleset.

And that's what we'll explore in this week's Battle Mage Secrets!!!

Shades of Gray: with this ruleset, only Neutral monsters can be deployed, so these types of cards no longer serve as a "fill-in" for other elements but become the absolute stars of the scene.

Of course, we have no restrictions on the choice of summoner; we need to find the one that can benefit us based on the playing field and the cards we plan to deploy.

And these are the game rules:

A not-too-high Mana Cap of 29, with Shades of Gray, Weak Magic, and FabFour rulesets, further limiting our choices and the available spots on the team.

And here's the battlefield:

I selected the summoner Astral Entity again, which sometimes has saved the match for me, but at other times has proven ineffective. In the first position, I placed Dumacke Orc, followed by Sandworm, Uraeus, and Venari Marksrat.

On the other hand, my opponent opted for Kelya Frendul, with Xenith Monk in the Tank position, followed by Venari Marksrat, Drybone Raider, and, finally, Supply Runner.

Well, I can say that I completely misplayed this match, as my monsters fell one by one while my opponent did not suffer any losses: the -2 Armor inflicted by my Astral Entity was nullified, while the opposing Xenith Monk, with its Heal ability, managed to hold its ground excellently in the Tank position as my monsters crumbled without defenses.

Fin dalla seconda edizione, quella Beta, dove fu introdotto l'elemento Neutral, sono sempre stato attratto da questo tipo di carte, perchè possono essere usate quasi sempre, con qualsiasi evocatore, e perchè ti possono risolvere situazioni difficili quando ti manca un mostro particolare , di un determinato elemento, per il ruleset della partita in corso.

Ed è quello che vedremo nel Battle Mage Secrets di questa settimana !!!

Shades of Gray : con questo ruleset, si possono schierare in campo solamente mostri Neutrali, quindi questo tipo di carte non diventa più un "tappabuchi" per gli altri elementi, ma diventa protagonista assoluto della scena.

Ovviamente non abbiamo nessuna restrizione sulla scelta dell'evocatore, dobbiamo trovare quello che ci può favorire in base al campo di gioco e alle carte che abbiamo in mente di schierare.

Ho selezionato di nuovo l'evocatore Astral Entity, che, alcune volte mi ha risolto la partita, ma in altre risulta poco efficace, ed in prima posizione ho messo Dumacke Orc, seguito da Sandworm, Uraeus e Venari Marksrat.

Invece, il mio avversario, si orientato verso Kelya Frendul, con Xenith Monk in posizione Tank, seguito da Venari Marksrat, Drybone Raider, e , per finire, Supply Runner.

Beh, posso dire di aver sbagliato completamente la partita, visto che i miei mostri sono caduti ad uno ad uno, mentre il mio avversario non ha subito neanche una perdita: il -2 in Armor inflitto dal mio Astral Entity è caduto nel nulla, mentre lo Xenith Monk avversario, con la sua abilità Heal, è riuscito a resistere ottimamente in posizione Tank, mentre i miei mostri soccombevano senza difese.
