Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Up Close and Personal (ENG/ITA)

Hello to all fellow Splinterlands players!!!

I have talked a thousand times by now about the role of melee attack monsItalicters within the Splinterlands gameplay, but now we are all eagerly awaiting the new Rebellion edition, coming out this December 5th, and the Sneak Peeks are already offering us important elements to evaluate the new arrivals with melee attack: for example, we have Pirate of Eight, from the Water element, an excellent card with the Reach and Blast abilities from the first level, or the new melee "colossus" of the Fire group, Chaos Golem, which at the 4th level of enhancement comes with 5 attack, 11 health, 4 shield, and the abilities Return Fire, Enrage, and Retaliate.

I am sure that some old cards will lose their on the main roster, but for now, let's participate in the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge today!!!

Up Close and Personal: With this ruleset, we can only deploy monsters with melee attack, but cards with double attack are also allowed (for example, the "terrible" Quora Towershead, one of the most popular cards in Brawls). Retaliate, Thorns, and Demoralize are the most used abilities to try to block enemy attacks.

And these are the game rules:

A very broad mana cap of 54, with Up Close and Personal and Equal Opportunity, which give us a lot of options to choose heavy monsters, but there is also the Back to Basics ruleset, which makes cards lose all their abilities, making calculations very difficult.

And here is the battlefield:

I thought I had played it safe, choosing the summoner Possibilus the Wise, decisive in clashes with only Melee cards, and then I deployed in order, Diemonshark, Kulu Mastermind, Legionnaire Alvar, Lemell Refugee, Flying Squid, and War Chang, with its double attack.

My opponent, strangely, chose the summoner Alric Stormbringer, and even though he didn't take advantage of his +1 in magic attack, he positioned his monsters in this order: The Kraken, Sea Monster, Goblin Mech, Diemonshark, Spineback Turtle, and finally Torhilo the Frozen.

I was sure I had done all my calculations well, and honestly, I thought I would win this match, as, thanks to Possibilus the Wise, all my monsters had the Reach and Trample abilities. However, all of this was not enough; I think my opponent chose Alric Stormbringer only because it costs only 3 mana, and so he could fill his team with 3 gold monsters, very well upgraded, which had Life and Armor values so high that they successfully absorbed the heavy blows from my team.

Ciao a tutti i compagni giocatori di Splinterlands !!!

Ho parlato mille volte, ormai, del ruolo dei mostri con attacco melee all'ineìterno del gameplay di Splinterlands, però adesso siamo tutti in attesa della nuova edizione Rebellion, in uscita questo 5 Dicembre, e le Sneak Peeks ci stanno già ofrendo degli elementi importanti per valutare i nuovi arrivati con attacco melee: per esempio abbiamo Pirate of Eight,dell'elemento Acqua, un'ottima carta con le abilità Reach e Blast fin dal primo livello, oppure il nuovo "colosso" melee del gruppo Fuoco, Chaos Golem, che al livello 4 di potenziamento arriva 5 di attacco, 11 di Vita, 4 di scudo e le abilità Return Fire, Enrage e Retaliate.

Sono sicuro che tane vecchie carte perderanno il ruolo di titolare, ma intanto oggi partecipiamo al Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge !!!

Up Close and Personal: con questo ruleset, possiamo schierare solamente mostri con attacco melee, ma sono consentiti anche le carte con doppio attacco ( per esempio la "terribile" Quora Towershead , una delle carte più gettonate nelle Brawls).
Retaliate, Thorns e Demoralize sono le abilità più usate per cercare di bloccare gli attacchi avversari.

E queste sono le regole del gioco:

Pensavo di essere andato sul sicuro, con la scelta dell'evocatore Possibilus the Wise, decisivo negli scontri con solo carte Melee, e poi hi schierato in ordine, Diemonshark, Kulu Mastermind, Legionnaire Alvar, Lemell Refugee, Flyin Squid e War Chang, con il suo doppio attacco.

Il mio avversario, stranamente, ha scelto l'evocatore Alric Stormbringer, e pur non sfruttando il suo +1 in attacco magico, ha posizionato in quest'ordine i suoi mostri: The Kraken, Sea Monster, Goblin Mech, Diemonshark, Spineback Turtle, e infine Torhilo the Frozen.

Ero sicuro di aver fatto tutti i miei calcoli per bene, e sinceramente pensavo di vincere questa sifda, visto che, grazie a Possibilus the Wise, tutti i miei mostri avevano l'abilità Reach e Trample.
Però tutto questo non è bastato, penso che il mio avversario abbia scelto Alric Stormbringer solamente per il fatto che costa solo 3 di mana, e quindi ha potuto riempire la sua squadra di ben 3 mostri d'oro, molto ben potenziati, e che avevano valori di Vita e Armor talmente alti da attutire con successo i pesanti colpi della mia squadra.
