Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Paths to Power (ENG/ITA)

During this holiday season, as we get closer to the end of the year, we can think about everything we have done in this 2025, both the positive and the negative choices, and try to improve ourselves in 2026, which is coming in just a few days.

And this also applies to us as Splinterlands players, surely all of us have had our moments of joy, but also those moments when we say, "Damn, if only I had done the opposite!".

And the theme of this week’s Community Engagement Challenge is exactly "Paths to Power", meaning discussing what our strategies are to become better players and investors on this platform.

Let’s start with a small summary of what happened this year, it is useless to say that at the beginning of the year enthusiasm was through the roof, BTC was making an ATH almost every day, and Hive went above 0.6 dollars, very far from the poor 0.09 dollars we are sitting at now, in short, we went from riches to rags so to speak, and who knows how long it will take to see another bull market, and the same enthusiasm again.

And on Splinterlands, this year we experienced the arrival of the new card edition Conclave Arcana, with the Presale that lasted between April and May.

I participated with a good amount of investment by my standards, and with a clear goal, I wanted to get the Promo cards, Arcane Skinwalker, but above all Gramel the Hunger.

Should I have invested more during the Presale?

I do not know, because the price of cards on the market later went down, and even if nobody can predict this, maybe it would have been better to keep some extra funds to move later on the market, buying cards that better fit my playstyle and my favorite teams that I usually field in battle.

The CA edition brought a lot of new features, which are still being studied, such as the Bloodline mechanic, which I believe the staff still needs to balance properly and maybe adjust a bit to make it more accessible for players, to begin with, in my humble opinion there are really too many bloodlines, you basically need to consult an encyclopedia every time to see which two cards belong to the same lineage.

Surely the Ulund bloodline is the most populated and easily recognizable, so players can also do some calculations from memory on how to field these cards to exploit the various dynamics, but with other bloodlines it sometimes becomes difficult even to find two similar cards to deploy.

And big improvements also affected the world of Lands this year, with the arrival, finally, of a set of cards that can be produced on our plots.

For now there are only 4 cards, but more will arrive, and at the moment they can only be deployed as Farmers on one of our Lands to provide various production boosts with specific abilities, which can also be enhanced by leveling these cards up.

Next year I need to commit more to the production of these new cards, also considering that I own several land plots, and I need to calculate how to deploy them to further increase my production, I will start slowly, probably from some lands where I have low level farmers and low Production Power, and I will try to replace these old cards with Inaugural Land Cards to see how to best exploit all the configurations which, even here, are not few and must be studied carefully to avoid making some stupid mistakes.

The good intentions are there, but obviously how 2026 will go depends on external factors that we cannot control, above all the crypto market in general, and the price of Hive and Splinterlands tokens more specifically, but the important thing is to play and have fun, and try to improve our strategies for the future !

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!

In questo periodo di feste natalizie, ci avviciniamo verso la fine dell'anno, e quindi possiamo pensare a tutto quello che abbiamo fatto in questo 2025, sia le scelte positive che quelle negative, e quindi cercare di migliorarci nel 2026 che sta per venire tra pochi giorni.

E questo vale anche in quanto giocatori di Splinterlands, sicuramente tutti noi abbiamo avute le nostre gioie, ma anche quei momenti in cui si esclama "Accidenti, se solo avessi fatto al contrario!".

E il tema del Community Engagemente Challenge di questa settimana è proprio "Paths to Power", ovvero di discutere quali sono le nostre strategie per diventare dei giocatori/investitori migliori su questa piattaforma.

Iniziamo con un piccolo riassunto di quello che è successo quest'anno: inutile dire che all'inizio dell'anno l'entusiasmo era alle stelle, BTC faceva un ATH quasi ogni giorno, e Hive ha superato quota 0,6$, altro che lo scarso 0,09$ in cui ci ritroviamo adesso, insomma, siamo passati dalle stelle alle stalle per così dire, e chi sa quanto tempo ci vorrà per rivedere un Bull Market, e lo stesso entusiasmo.

E su Splinterlands, quest'anno abbiamo vissuto l'arrivo della nuova edizione di carte Conclave Arcana, con la Presale che è durata tra Aprile e Maggio.

Io ho partecipato con una buona quota di investimento per i miei canoni, e con uno scopo preciso, volevo portarmi a casa le carte Promo, Arcane Skinwalker, ma soprattutto Gramel the Hunger.

Avrei dovuto investire di più nella Presale?

Non lo so, perchè il prezzo delle carte sul mercato è poi sceso, e anche se questo non lo può prevedere nessuno , forse era meglio se tenevo qualche fondo in più per muovermi dopo sul mercato, acquistando carte che si adattassero al mio modo di giocare e alle mie squadre preferite che schiero in campo di solito.

L'edizione CA ha portato un sacco di novità, che sono ancora in fase di studio, come la meccanica delle Bloodline, che credo lo staff debba ancora calibrare bene e fare magari qualche modifica per renderle più fruibili ai giocatori: per cominciare, a mio modesto parere queste bloodlines sono veramente troppe di numero, bisogna consultare una enciclopedia tutte le volte per vedere quale due carte appartengono alla stessa stirpe.

Sicuramente la bloodline degli Ulund è quella più popolata e facilmente distinguibile, quindi i giocatori possono fare qualche calcolo anche a memoria di come schierare questo tipo di carte in campo per sfruttare le varie dinamiche, ma di altre bloodlines diventa difficile certe volte anche trovare due carte simili da schierare.

E grandi miglioramenti hanno investito quest'anno anche il mondo delle Lands, con l'arrivo, finalmente di un set di carte che si possono produrre sui nostri appezzamenti.

Per ora si tratta solo di 4 carte, ma ne arriveranno di nuove, e per adesso si possono solo schierare come Farmers su di una nostra Land per dare vari boost alle produzione con varie abilità apposite, da potenziare anche portando queste carte a livelli superiori.

Prossimo anno devo impegnarmi di più nella produzione di queste nuove carte, visto anche che sono proprietario di vari appezzamenti di terreno, e devo calcolare come schierarle per aumentare ancora di più le mie produzione: inizierò piano, probabilmente da alcune lands che ho e in cui ho messo farmers di livello e Production Power bassi, e cercherò di sostituire queste vecchie carte con delle Inaugural Land Cards per vedere come sfruttare al meglio tutte le configurazioni che, anche quì, non sono poche e vanno studiate con attenzione per non commettere qualche errore stupido.

I buoni propositi ci sono, ma ovviamente come andrà il 2026 dipende da fattori esterni che non possiamo controllare, uno su tutti il mercato crypto in generale, e il prezzo di Hive e dei token di Splinterlands più nello specifico, però l'importante è giocare e divertirsi, e cercare di migliorare le proprie strategie per il futuro !
