Hello to all Splinterlands players!!!

The Rebellion edition packs have recently gone on sale, this new group of 96 cards that aim to revolutionize the gameplay of Splinterlands, and we can see ,already, very encouraging numbers: out of the 500,000 packs distributed for the pre-sale, only 224,114 remain, so 275,886 have been sold, more than half in just 7 days, all for a presale that lasts only 30 days / 23 days left as I write this article), or until the packs run out.

Unfortunately, we still can't open the packs and see the new cards, the only 2 of which we already have a preview are the two guaranteed airdrop cards, for those who respectively buy 10 or 100 packs: I'm talking about Grimbardun Smith and Mantaroth.

Immediately we can see that the graphics have changed a lot: with a much thinner border, much more space is given to the illustration, which in the old editions was often cut off, and the drawing style also changes, which, in my opinion, now looks much more detailed and precise, compared to some past illustrations that were a bit childish.

Let's analyze these two cards together.

Mantaroth, a legendary card of the Neutral group, with a very high cost of 11 mana, is guaranteed to those who purchase 100 packs or more, and is positioned as a valid antagonist for the other melee cards to occupy the Tank position: at its maximum upgrade level, level 4, it gains 4 abilities, including a new one from the Rebellion edition, namely Armored Strike, which guarantees it an additional melee attack using the value of its Armor.
In addition to Shield, True Aim, Repair, and Blast, this Mantaroth undoubtedly wants to claim the position of the first choice in high Mana Cap challenges.

Grimbardun Smith, a rare card of the Neutral group, is instead much more accessible to everyone, as it is guaranteed to those who purchase 10 packs or more.

It has an excellent ratio between mana cost and offered stats: in fact, for only 6 mana, it doesn't offer any attack, but 10 Health points and 3 Armor.

Furthermore, at its maximum upgrade level (level 8), it gains 4 abilities, unfortunately, none of them new: Immunity, Void, Shield, and Repair, making it an excellent alternative in the Tank position, as it is a great bulwark that resists enemy attacks well, but with Repair, it restores Armor points to the teammate who has lost the most.

Additionally, if you place a card with the new ability Weapons Training next to it, it can gain an attack equal to half the value of the adjacent card that possesses this ability.

I have studied these cards thoroughly, but I can't wait to open my packs and see all the new cards in this edition, especially the summoners that will, according to rumors, be revolutionary.

È partita da poco la vendita dei pacchetti dell'edizione Rebellion, questo nuovo gruppo di 96 carte che si ripromettono di rivoluzionare il gameplay di Splinterlands, e si parla di numeri già molto incoraggianti: dei 500.000 pacchetti distribuiti per il pre-sale, ne rimangono solo 224.114 , quindi ne sono stati venduti 275.886, più della metà in soli 7 giorni, tutto questo per un presale che dura solo 30 giorni /23 giorni rimasti da quando scrivo questo articolo), o quando i pacchetti saranno terminati.

Purtroppo, ancora non possiamo aprire i pacchetti e vedere le nuove carte, le uniche 2 che di cui abbiamo già una preview sono i due airdrop garantiti, per chi compra rispettivamente 10 o 100 pacchetti: sto parlando di Grimbardun Smith e Mantaroth.

Subito vediamo che la grafica è molto cambiata: con un bordo molto più sottile, si dona molto più spazio all'illustrazione, che nelle vecchie edizioni veniva spesso tagliata fuori, e cambia anche lo stile del disegno, che , a parer mio, ora sembra molto più dettagliato e preciso, rispetto a qualche illustrazione passata che era un po' fanciullesca.

Analizziamo queste due carte insieme.

Mantaroth, carta leggendaria del gruppo Neutrale, con un costo molto grosso di 11 mana, viene garantita a chi acquista 100 pacchetti o più, e si propone come un valido antagonista per le altre carte melee per occupare la pozione Tank: al suo massimo livello di potenziamento, il 4, ottiene ben 4 abilità, di cui una nuova dell'edizione Rebellion, ovvero la Armored Strike, che gli garantisce un ulteriore attacco melee usando il valore della sua Armor.
Oltre a Shield, True Aim, Repair e Blast, questo Mantaroth vuole conquistare, senza dubbio, la posizione di prima scelta nelle sfide ad alto Mana Cap.

Grimbardun Smith, carta rara del gruppo Neutrale, è invece , molto più accessibile a tutti, perchè garantita a chi acquista dai 10 pacchetti in sù.

Ha un ottimo rapporto tra costo in mana e stats offerti: infatti, per solo 6 mana, non offre nessun attacco, ma ben 10 punti di Health e 3 di Armor.

Inoltre , al suo massimo potenziamento (livello 8), ottiene 4 abilità, di cui, purtroppo, nessuna di quelle nuove: Immunity, Void, Shield e Repair, lo rendono un ottima alternativa nella posizione Tank, perchè è un ottimo baluardo che resiste bene agli attacchi avversari, ma con Repair, ridona punti Armor al compagno di squadra che ne ha persi di più.

Inoltre, se gli mettete accanto una carta con la nuova abilità Weapons Training, può guadagnare un attacco uguale a metà del valore della carta adiacente che possiede questa abilità.

Queste carte me le sono studiate per bene, però non riesco ad aspettare di aprire i miei pacchetti e vedere tutte le nuove carte di questa edizione, soprattutto gli evocatori che saranno , a detta delle indiscrezioni, rivoluzionari.
